Heading out.

Snow

Heading up to Maple Ridge BC today to visit my friends at Photo Express and teach a couple classes on Saturday and Sunday.

Most of the snow has melted from yesterday and now there are icy patches around town. So glad I was able to be here when it snowed and was able to get out there and enjoy it with Simon. He totally loved it and could have been out there all day. He kept saying, "It's the North Pole."

Hope you have a great weekend!

I got my Cocoa Daisy kit and it's AWESOME! I wish we had some snow to go with my cocoa.

You've gotten more snow than I have at my house in MINNESOTA! That's crazy. Simon looks so happy and content! How fun...

    Ali,
Great article in CK. Good reminders on making time to be a 'life artist'.
Have a super time in Maple Ridge, there's loads of snow there but it should be a great trip just the same. I'm on Vancouver Island and there's only heavy frost...we got off lucky this time.

    Ali,
I don't know if you will see this or not, but where in the world did you get that Hopi quote at the left? Is it copywrited? I absolutely LOVE it and it completely describes how I have felt the past couple of years about myself and those around me. PLEASE let me know where it came from!

    Dear ALi,
Cannot help to feel a little bit jalouse of you. Would love to have some snow here in the Netherlands. The temp here is 10 decrease, it storms not normal any more and it should be about 10 lower.
Have fun with Simon in the snow.
    Kind regards from here!

Cole is obsessed with the North Pole, too! Except he keeps referring to Minnesota as the North Pole, and says he wants to see the polar bears and penguins. Glad you enjoyed the snow!

Ali, your picture seems to have captured a wonderful moment for your son. He certainly looks very happy in the smow. It was 44 degrees here in NH and still no snow yet.
I received a copy of your book, A Designer's Eye today. I purchased it from Cocoa Daisy so it is autographed. What a treat! I am reading it slowly so that I can take it all in. Love all of the pictures too.

I stumbled on your page and found it a delightful read. The Hopi letter has been on my kitchen wall for some time to remind me to flow with life, not against it.
I will be back to view more.
