Looking for cool techniques.
There's a great new special issue out featuring tons of technique ideas from Jennifer McGuire (and an awesome collection of other scrapbookers) - small, do-able, cool, interesting ideas for using your supplies.
Jen has always been one of those people I know I can turn to to see something interesting. She has a way of working with supplies that is not overwhelming, not over the top, just not too much. Little additions, great stamping techniques, all the while keeping the emphasis on the story she is telling. I love that about her.
I especially loved the section on stitching and pens & markers (been reacquainting myself with those guys lately).
I loved this idea - roll up a piece of paper to create a pattern for stamping (I love how the result is imperfect and that you could adjust it as you go - making it tighter or looser depending on the pattern you want...and talk about cheap and economical).
Also loved this minibook using tags and envelopes by Lisa McGarvey. The beauty of papers, photos and a few stickers. Love her stuff - every single time.
And while we are on the subject of cool stuff, I think this idea from Tia Bennett on Two Peas in fantastic: clam shell cards. Love this idea for recycling packaging.
Packing up for CKU Anaheim today. Excited about another adventure.
thanks for the inspiring tip!
lots of great ideas.

I have "A Week in the Life" envy! Everyone who is taking your class is going to love it, and probably love themselves more during the process too. Hope CKU and your class comes back to San Jose next year. Enjoy.

Simplicity is the best!
I use it in my works, too.
Check out my new etsy site for examples.

Seeiously going to love that book by Jen McGuire! Just yesterday I was tearing out old tools and techniques from my stash of CK mags.
The clam shell idea is cool also. It was on 2Ps previously by Sandrine (check out her stuff...she's very talented). Here's the link to her clam shell card.

I picked up my copy of 101 today on my lunch break and resisted bringing it in to the office this afternoon.
Now my 5:30 meeting has been canceled so I can go home and read it! Papers to grade? Ha! I'll grade them tomorrow...

Thanks for the cool idea of rolling up the paper and using it as a stamper. Wow. I'm going to try that on my next page! I know you lifted it from someone else. She had a great idea there!
I also liked the use of clamshells to do something else. The only problem with that is that I always cut the top off of each one of them because I can never figure out how to open them without cutting. I hate those things.
Thanks for the cool ideas!
