Lots of goodness + some sickness.
One of the things I am continually inspired by on the internet are all the people doing good things, encouraging + inspiring others, and generally spreading joy.
Here's a few I have been linked to or come across lately:
Design For Mankind issue one + issue two via Sarah + Jamaica
Slice of Life Story Challenge from Two Writing Teachers
Rebecca Sower's Day to Disconnect and her follow up post
The Art of the American Snapshot (also here)
Around here I have been getting ready for the Creating Keepsakes Convention this weekend in Portland, working on my column, and taking care of Simon. He has been home the last couple of days with some sort of gastroenteritis - lots of trips to the bathroom and one trip to the ER on Monday night to make sure it wasn't appendicitis (one of those great 11pm - 2am trips). Definitely thankful for a nap earlier in the day and Ratatouille + Photo Booth on the laptop to make the waiting time a little easier to handle.
It's pretty crazy that we have been to Urgent Care + the ER three times in the last couple months. Once for my ear infection on Christmas Eve, once for Chris' flu (which Simon got as well), and then this last time for Simon. Hoping this is the end for a long time of these sorts of visits.
Hoping you and yours are happy + healthy.
Hope you are all on the road to health. There has been record low attendance at the area schools due to the "flu". So many saying that it takes several weeks for everything to clear up. Take care. Cindy

I empathize with your hospital trips, I have been there myself this week with kidney stones....blah! I am an everyday reader of your inspirational blog, but have never commented, however I just wanted to thank you for the free download of your handwriting!!! After admiring your journaling in many CK issues, I am so excited to implement your great style into my own creations! Thanks again, and good luck getting healthy.

Hi Ali! Thanks for your blog and all the fun links! I hope Simon feels better soon. My son has been home since Friday with a high fever virus and it is just "kicking his butt"!!! He still has a fever today but it's low grade. Now I am watching my 5yo daughter like a time bomb just waiting for her to start with the high fever. The worst part about having sick kids is the worrying! The worrying will do me in I swear. So I just make sure I take some time each day to surf the web to get my mind off the madness! Have a great weekend and thanks again for all the fun thought, projects and links!

Can totally sympathise with on your recent trip with Simon to the ER. My 2 year old son was taken into hospital by ambulance last week with an asthma attack. He (and I) had to stay in there for a couple of nights. Not nice, frightening for him and for us. Hope your little man feels better soon.
