Perspective

[ photo by paolo using a canon 10-22mm lens ]

My friend Paolo has been visiting the last couple of days. Essentially that means lots of creative brainstorming, lots of light-saber battles, and other miscellaneous adventures. He took the shot above of my office using his wide angle Canon 10-22mm lens - none of the lens I have are wide enough to be able to get the entire room in the shot. Cool perspective of my space.

Polaroid

Adventuring with Polaroid in hand. Simon is totally into that camera right now.

Baby

And getting ready for a baby shower tomorrow for my sister-in-law. There is lots of girly-goodness inside that basket (love lidded baskets as wrapping). So excited to have a niece.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Yay, I get it now! I've never been able to fully process the layout of your space until now. Cool shot.
I'm very excited to see all those layouts next week. Can't wait.
Tell Paolo HI if he's still there. We're in a circle journal group together and he's by buddy from the Philippines, where I lived for a while, so we have fun trading pinoy lingo and memories. Ingat, Paolo!
    Have a fun weekend.

So many good things here... love the studio shot (especially cute that you, Simon and Lily are all there) and the hamper as gift wrap is genius - cool & environmentally friendly!! Yay for you!!

    Ali, Chris, and Simon -
Just came on here because I missed you guys and I wanted to catch up on the latest! I knew there would be tons of photos.
I am babysitting for a family near my house now and it's not the same :( Please tell Simon hello from me.
I'll be down in Eugene next month and hopefully I can stop by and say hello. I hope all's well and enjoy the sunshine! I'm headed to the beach after work :)

WOW that is some work space. I love it and am totally green with envy. Mmmm, wonder if the kids would mind sharing a bedroom ....

I've drooled over different shots of your space before but never put it all together ... it looks like a wonderful place to be creative and Simon seems very happy in it with you. I want to thank you for last week's posts ... you got me scrapping again after a long lapse. I appreciate it so much!

love the wide angle! what a fun lens. Might have to be my next one.
Do you have a hard time concentrating on work while Simon's in the room? I feel like such a bad mom...whenever I'm working, I'm always telling the kids to "get out." (always followed with an "i love you".) :)

Pictures through a child's eyes are the best - gave my grandson Shane a little camera for Christmas - what fun to see what he sees. The only problem is he wants to use his Mom's digital. So much for that gif!!!

Stock up on those polaroids, since they are going to quit making them. :( Great shot of your room and I really love that tag on the gift! So cute.

i can never get enough of you! always such an inspiration. i love the shot of your space and the fact that simon is in there with you. my 8 year old boy fills my space with me too and we create side by side or he plays on the computer and shares himself with me while he plays and i create. he too, loves a camera and i actually have him to thank for some of the best photos of my husband and myself. he is awesome at capturing the essence of us! thanks so much for sharing so much of yourself and your family. really. the down-to-earthness of you is so refreshing.:*)

It's so funny, my son Leon (3 1/2 years) was next to me, when I read this post. He looked at the photo and said: "Mama, that's me!" I told him, that it was a photo of Simon, but he thinks, that he looks like Simon!

Love your craft room and the perspective that Paolo's camera gave us! I, too, love to give gifts in a basket. They look great and the basket can have a dozen different uses later. Can't wait for this week on your blog. Your creativity is infectious!

Such a cute tag on the gift! One picky grammar comment--no apostrophe is needed after your last name. You're not possessing anything on the tag. (Former English teacher here; sorry!)
