Three Things : Stuff I Still Love
Tags:The scrapbooking industry is really pretty crazy in the amount of new product that is continually coming out all the time. Today in Three Things I want to celebrate three of my favorite things that have been around a while, that are standing the test of time.
American Crafts Mumbo Jumbos : Large, classic typeface. Great for initials.
7gypsies Photo Turns : I love using these as directional items on a layout. Normally I use three if any to create a visual triangle of elements.
Avery Metal Rimmed Circle Tags : Ok, so these aren't technically a scrapbook product, but they are something I have been using since the very beginning and continue to use today.
Thinking back on these products made me remember other things I used over and over:

1. Mrs. Grossman vellum letter stickers & black alphabet stickers from Sharon Sonneff.
[ layout 2003 - and man I really used both those products over + over again ]

2. The old PSX Antique Type stamps & Liz King for EK Success Letter Stickers (thanks Shimelle). Every once in awhile you can find the stamp set ebay.
[ layout 2003 ]
3. SEI Vellum (and check out the metal circle tag where I took out the white inside).
[ layout 2004, © CK Kids Idea Book ]
4. I came across this one the other day when I was organizing my albums. Look, more metal rimmed circle tags and a random piece of fabric. I am still loving transparencies and rub ons (the white on the green cardstock is a transparency from Karen Russell, the black accents are rub ons).

What products have you been using forever? Which ones do you miss?

VELLUM! I keep using that stuff like it will be wiped off the earth tomorrow!!! I'm a sucker for the metal rimmed tags too. I tend to be a 'notion' scrapper with a little pattern paper. I miss the printed transparencies of way back when. I can't find them so much anymore.
Have a relaxing day honey,
-Karla

I love brads! While I love all the shapes and colors, I find myself using a lot of 'metal-colored' mini brads. I also have a basket of alphabet stickers and find myself digging through there a lot.

Hi Ali..I love tried and true products as well. My favorites are anything VERSATILE. here is nothing like when you need a "little something" on your layout, and you have a stash of versatile items-stamps particularly. And I just bought those PSX stamps on ebay -looking forward to playing with THAT versatile fun item! Thanks for sharing. Erin:)

I always seem to use BLACK letter stickers. I am trying my best to USE all of my other letter stickers because god knows I have a huge pile!! Someday. God-willing someday the pile will be gone and I'll have my ol' standby - BLACK. :-) Happy Tuesday! peace and blessings, Cindy

I still just love beautiful, amazing, wonderful paper! But I tend to use gems on every page, which is funny because I am not that blingy of a girl. I just love gems . . . LOL!

Oh, those PSX antique stamps. I just got my set out and stared at it lovingly. Maybe I'll try to use them this weekend...
So happy I don't have to go hunt for those on eBay!

For me, it's gotta be the Rub-On Letters from Making Memories. I have almost every font, and use them every day! Sadly, my sales rep said they are being discontinued. Why, I'll never know. You can make an entire 8x8 album with just one package and still have letters to spare. I recommend them to everyone, but now I'll have to keep them a secret and buy them up wherever I find them...

Using forever would be just about any black or white alphabet stickers, any of the KI Memories striped papers, Doodlebug brads, and any tiny letter rub-ons. Something I wish would come back? (sigh) Making Memories Moulding Strips. I found 4 of them stuck in an old folder and was SO excited. I still love them!

I cannot really come up with three products but if it is any ONE product i use most often, it has to be alphas!! Big or small, chipboard or cardstock, black or white. I just cannot live without them!!

Good question... fun to think about it and then digg into the albums to see if I'm right...
I'm a white cardstock and eyelet/brad-lover... but when I checked my LO's, I saw that I use my little stapler much much more than eyelets and brads...
There's not much that I really miss, although I which I had some more of those KI rub-on tattoos sheets from a few years ago... the one wih the flowers, numbers and bar-codes on them... I really loved those...

Brads! There has never been a brad I didn't like to use! And, so it seems, ribbon.
