Overheard.

Simonwalking

Overheard while putting on his airplane jammies with the long tight sleeves that are kinda tough to pull-on: "I can do it cause I'm a boy."

That was followed up with: "I can do it cause I'm a jedi."

OOOhhhh... I missed yesterday. Congratulations! and the subject of the ultrasound. What a nice addition at the 10 year mark.
The little Jedi. I had one who could just about recite the movie for us...he's 35 now and I sent him his old StarWars book as a present. He said it wasn't a present since it always was his!! Jedis...;-)

Congratulations to you and your family. I never felt as inspired, creative and purposeful than when I was pregnant. Such an amazing time for you, I'm sure.
A little Star Wars tidbit for Simon...a cool way to figure out your Star Wars name is to take the first three letters from your first name, the first three letters of your last name and the first two letters from your middle name and then put them together (mine is JulDonAn and my son is BraDonRu). It's very ObiWan!

Just had to say congrats on the addition to the family. I am sooooo excited for you. I just had my 2nd and final baby in March. I do pray that the new baby won't be colicky. My 2nd daughter was and sometimes still is and I won't kid you, it is tough. But I pray you won't find out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took your week in the life album track at CKU in Orlando this past Oct 2007. Just loved it. Also got a copy of the last book and loved that also.
You are the biggest influence on my scrapping and I can't thank you enough for the work that you do. I love your stuff and you inspire me so much.
A big hug of congrats to the whole family and best wishes when the new addition arrives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and my response to that would be well, of course you are! Gosh I love the giggle worthy moments that you capture and the way you allow Simon to be who he is. So many blogs are all about mommy woes and the way they speak about their children makes me tired. Your words always bring a smile and giggle. Your outlook on life is contagious! Congrats on baby makes 4. best, Lacy

I'll have to try that mantra next time something has me stuck.
But... can girls be Jedi's? I might have to brush up on my star wars before I start that mantra... :)

Congratulations! I went back to a post last month where you said "I have been making some significant changes work-wise where more responsibility now lays on me. I am embracing this change with open arms and am really excited about a variety of things that are coming up both this year and next. Some of these things have been occupying my mind lately to great extents. Pre-occupied is almost an understatement."
I wondered at the time what new was in store, but assumed it had to do with work, not this excellent news! I am so happy for all of you.
