Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Fall traditions - pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, spooky decorations for Halloween, Fall Festivals at school, spending time with family, hot caramel apple cider from Starbucks and any food that has pumpkin (muffins, cake, bagels, donuts, pie, etc..). Thanks for all you do, Ali.

Fall isn't our hugest celebration time. BF will countdown until winter and I'm counting waiting for spring. This year though I'm determined to carve pumpkins and to bake some pies. Some of my favorite things to do in fall when I was young.

Chai tea! I love it and it's perfect for the cooler weather. Also, I cook with more fall ingredients: pumpkin, pecans, cinnamon, etc.

    Thanks for the give away!

I love Fall, my favorite season. I always decorate the house with all my fall decorations. Our church will usually have a hay ride in the fall. I also love to bake in the fall, cookies and anything with pumpkin.
    Love Fall!!

We celebrate the fall in so many ways - fall scented candles, carving pumpkins, lots of pumpkin flavored treats (including my girls' favorite of chocolate pumpkin muffins), walks outside, leaf collecting, enjoying the cool brisk air.
Love love this time of year.

We are celebrating Halloween this year a lot more than in previous years (is not quite as big in the UK yet) as my daughter is 3 and more in to dressing up now. I have brought her costume and the pumpkin and we will be carving it next week.
I also celebrate Guy Fawkes on 5th November and have already been to a a firework display which is the first one my daughter has stayed awake for and she loved it.
I also love to watch the leaves falling from the trees and seeing them blown around the garden - reminds of the plastic bag scene in American Beauty. It's a wonderful time of year.

We celebrate by doing lots of cooking/baking. So far we have made apple butter, apple sauce, apple pie, bread, chicken soup, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin muffins.

Fall is my all time favorite season- although, since we own a resort, fall means closing up cabins and getting them ready for winter, which means a lot of work! But we also find time for fun- going to the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins (one of my favorite things to do!), drinking cider, baking pumpkin bread, decorating the lodge, and having our annual fall party where we invite everyone in town!

I love Fall! My fall cooking has become a tradition around the house without even trying to make it become one. My kids and husband request certain favorite recipes as soon as that first cool night comes through... and I love to comply! There is nothing like having the house full of yummy scents.

Fall is our favorite, too! My daughter is now old enough (13) that she likes to design and help make her own halloween costume, she paints pumpkins rather than carve them, we go for lots of walks through our 12 acres of woods, hot cocoa on weekend evenings when we (me, hubby, and daughter) snuggle down to watch a movie together, and lots of fun planning for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Roasted pumpkin seeds - seasoned salt being the key ingredient and a fine pumpkin ale (Shipyard or Harvest Moon from Blue Moon).

I take about million pictures of leaves... you'd think I'd get tired of it, but I never do.

    Ohhh what a great giveaway!!!
We don't really know HOW to celebrate fall here... I wish we did... BUT when I lived in Canada we had a HUGE leaf 'collect' at my cousins house... it was a great get together cause all the family would help him clean the yard and we'd have a barbecue and chat for ours...

My family never had any real traditions, but now that I've started my own family, I really want to start some traditions that will make great memories for my kids. Reading the comments here have given me some great ideas!

We have a huge pumpkin carving party! Everyone brings their own pumpikins, we supply the food, and it is a great time. I love to see all the different ideas! When everyone is done, we place them on the front porch all lit up and judge whose is best!
