Family Gratitude Spinner Project through Big Picture Scrapbooking

Ae_wearefamily_cover

I am very excited to announce a new partnership with Big Picture Scrapbooking to bring you a Projects Plus instant download class : Family Gratitude Photo Spinner.

Are you looking for a creative way to celebrate your family photos? So often they end up tucked away inside beautiful albums or in boxes under the bed, cared for but not celebrated often enough. The Family Gratitude Photo Spinner is a project that brings your photos out into the open, encouraging you to live with some of your most favorite photos of the people you love. This project would make a great holiday centerpiece or a lovely decoration within your home for anytime of the year. It would also make an amazing gift for someone special.

NOTE: This project is not necessarily Thanksgiving-specific but would definitely work well as a centerpiece for this time of year. It is more focused on expressing gratitude for family and friends and life. Paper and colors can easily be substituted to fit your individual tastes (and what you have on hand).

The class will be available as an instant download beginning next Thursday, November 13th at 10am Pacific. As soon as you register you have immediate access to the class materials.

Cost for the class is $12 and includes: color handouts with step by step instructions, downloadable PDF templates (for transparencies and titles), full supply list with links to products, an audio message from me, a private gallery for sharing your projects with others in the class, and access to a message board for sharing thoughts and ideas as you work through the project.

In addition, Big Picture Scrapbooking and kit club Cocoa Daisy have teamed up to offer a kit for this class with a bunch of the products you will need for this project if you are wanting to use the same supplies (check the supply list for specific details - not all products are included). The Cocoa Daisy kit does include the main 7gypsies supplies such as the Photo Carousel (also available here), tabbed pages, pocket pages, patterned transparencies, and page protectors (also available here). You can see and purchase the kit of supplies here.

I hope that some of you will be able to join me on this creative adventure. I loved the process of putting this project together: from the patterned papers to the paint to the embossing to working with little elements to going back through many of my favorite photos of my immediate family. I love how the finished project really celebrates my current family of three and has space available for the little one that will be joining us soon.

It's a great reminder of what is really most important in life.

Ali, this is stunning! You never cease to amaze!! I love your journaling block transparencies and the pockets and LOVE LOVE the embossed clock!! Just stunning! I think I even have a lot of that stuff already. Is the spinner the new 4x6? Or the older ATC spinner? Off to check out the cocoa daisy site!!

I did a project like this this year and I love it! I used it to capture journaling mainly but definitely incorporated photos from throughout the year. It's such a cool thing! :)

    How exciting!
Kind of a bummer that the Cocoa Daisy e-mail with this info went out this morning before your blog update, but such is the internet, huh? 'Gotta take it with a grain of salt, I guess... :-)
I have actually been thinking of making this very project (a gratitude carousel) and I think that it would work really well as something for a Thanksgiving 'centerpiece' or to set among the 'munchies' that keep everyone satiated 'til the bird is on the table. *ha ha* Another idea might be to let everyone fill out their own card listing what they are thankful for.
Thanks, again, Ali - so much fun!!

Ali I am so thrilled that you have a project at BPS. Earlier this year Stacy Julian asked who we would like to see at BPS and I requested you. I hope you will do more projects and classes with them in the future! This is a beautiful project!

PS-any chance Coco Daisy would offer a 'spinner-less' kit with just the other products????

    Hi Ali!
this project looks really cool! I've taken lots of classes over at BPS and I'll probably take this one too! it's been a while since I stopped by your blog (I've been obsessed with the election lately!) and I know that you closed the comments on the post about Obama's win, but I feel like I just have to make one small comment. I'm elated that Obama won. I just feel really sorry for all those people who are scared of our new president, judging by their comments, they don't seem very well informed and I hope they will keep an open mind and make an effort to really understand the issues not just repeat the same misinformation they have been spoon fed by the campaigns.
Sorry but I just had to say it.

The spinner looks great. What a great project to do this time of year.
I recently purchased some Designer Digitals for the first time and started playing with them. I love the overlays for the 4x6 pictures.

Love this project. I'm already partly through a November Gratitude Album, so don't need to repeat the theme, but I think I'll sign up for the class and file away the info for a project along the lines of "my favorite photos" to be displayed in my new scrap room when it finally gets done... someday....

i can't seem to get into the Cocoadaisy site - i so want to do this. I am so excited that you are doing this. With LSS stores closing and fewer CKU's (and you with a baby!) options to learn new things are pairing down. I hope you will do more in the future. i also just got your stamps from TT and LOVE THEM!! I am not a digi person so I love that we can get some of your elements this way - do more there too!
can't wait to take the class.

Such a fun (and gorgeous) treasure to nestle among the living room book shevles. It calls out to be touched and flipped. I do love this - will be bookmarking that for sure. Thanks, Ali. Happy weekend.

Wonderful! I hope this is the first of many classes you teach at BPS. I'm taking Cathy's class and just finished Stacey's. I've loved the experience. I will definately take this class and would jump at the oppertunity to take a longer online workshop with you. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you might like to do something like that in the future.

I am curious about these online classes. Have never done one and not sure how they work. I have a very busy schedule with a full time job and 4 kids with not a lot of time to do my scrapbooking. Is this something I can do at my own pace as I have "scraps" of time?
