5 Things To Investigate Today

IMG_0209 [ my hydrangea : june 27 ]

1. Paulo Coelho's The Magic Instant post which includes these words:

Every day – together with the sun – God gives us a moment in which it
is possible to change everything that makes us unhappy. Every day we
try to pretend that we don’t realize that moment, that it doesn’t
exist, that today is just the same as yesterday and will be the same as
tomorrow. But if you pay attention, you can discover the magic instant.
It may be hiding at the moment when we put the key in the door in the
morning, in the silence right after dinner, in the thousand and one
things that all seem the same to us. This moment exists – a moment when
all the strength of the stars passes through us and lets us work
miracles.

Signing up at the Happiness Toolbox...perfect timing....feeling like surviving has been replacing happiness...time to rediscover. The imperfect action..I was at a Women of Faith conference last weekend. One of the speakers recommended we stop focusing on how we are going to get our troubled teen to college, our retirement fund built back up, our bills caught up....she said (and I really like this)...."just do the next thing." Not tomorrow's thing, not next year's thing....just the next thing.

Thank you for calling our attention to the Zen Habits post. It is always a favorite. I forwarded this to all of my former colleagues (I am now retired). I thought it spoke so well as to how to take better care of ourselves.

Thank you, Ali, for the reminder. We just moved into a new house and I keep getting frustrated with the journey of finding new homes for all my things. i need to savor this as an adventure of discovery over which I am master.

Great links, quote and photo! I love hydragneas so much, too. And Paolo Coelho has been one of my favorite authors in like forever. I've been a fan of his blog and flickr page in a while, too. So happy to see you posting it here! This post just made me smile! Happy Thursday!
