I am proud of my daughter who just started Kindergarten and new after school care with such ease that it amazes me. Kids are so adaptable. It was definitely harder for me than her!

I just woke up from a three hour nap, so at the moment, I am proud of having listened to my body today and taken time to catch up on sleep.

I'm proud of my almost 2 year old son. Today he attempted to put his own shoelaces in after taking them out. He didn't succeed like we would define success, but he managed to get the lace in some of the holes. Always the little things.

Maybe a silly thing, but I am so proud of the fact that I've lost all of the baby weight! My daughter is nine months old, and I finally don't look like I'm pregnant with #2!

I'm proud of myself because I talked to someone about something that was hard to talk about today. I'm so very bad at this... but I did it!

I'm proud that as I sit here tonight, at the end of a busy but satisfying summer, I've accomplished a lot, not the least of which is trying so hard to live in the moment with my 6-year-old twins.
We moved, I launched a new portrait photography business, I painted and sanded and decorated just about every room in my new house, I danced, I learned to play Guitar Hero and how to use Lightroom. I read countless books to my children, and had them read me quite a few with their burgeoning reading skills. I lived without a refrigerator for 6 weeks, and without a washer and dryer for more than 9. I lunched with my mom and dined with my husband and children at home, in restaurants and on a picnic blanket at West Point. I turned 40. I wrote three books chapters for a textbook. I prepped for my upcoming 5 courses that start tomorrow. I slept in and stayed up late. I gathered rocks from Nauset Beach on Cape Cod. I read three books about vampires, two about Jane Austen, and several about nothing much at all. I threw a baby shower for 25 and made a four-tiered diaper cake.
And tomorrow, I go back to my "day job" as a professor. Can't wait to see what this next chapter brings...

I am so proud of my son, Joe. He is the senior patrol leader of his boy scout troop. On friday, he took control of his troop, with his direction and as a team they set up their campsite without any adult supervision. Did I mention he is 14 (I don't mean to brag, I'm just a really proud momma).

My husband and I were very proud of our 15 year old son on the weekend playing in his soccer grand final. His team lost the game but he held his head up high and was galiant in his defeat. He congratulated the other team and was also proud of his own teams efforts. We always think it's easy to be happy when you're winning but takes courage to be proud in defeat so he did a good job.
