Thankful : November 11
Today I am thankful for the chance to have some one on one time with Simon. We'll be heading out to see a movie in a few hours and we've already spent some quality time messing around with Photo Booth.
I read on Molly's blog that there is a prompt going around Facebook to write what you are thankful for as your status each day up until Thanksgiving. No doubt there is never a bad time to express thankfulness and gratitude...love the idea of doing it for a set number of days.
And totally unrelated - there's a good conversation going on in the comments over on Cathy's blog about traditional/hybrid/digital scrapbooking.
Love, love love the pictures of you and Simon!! So darn cute! I have to admit that I don't know anything about Photo Booth. Is it a computer program?? Where have I been... try to keep up, but "boy!" things move fast these days!

I'd love to have you come over and join us on my blog. We're celebrating the 30 Days of Thanksgiving and blogging/facebooking/ tweeting about what we're thankful for every day in November!

PhotoBooth is a program on Mac computers that uses the built-in camera. It has all kinds of cool effects. If you have a mac, it's in your Applications folder on your hard drive.

Looking for a quote that I think you posted about a month ago. Don't remember who wrote it but what I took from it was cherishing today, even the frustrations, because tomorrow it will be gone. It has resonated with me in my life lately and that quote along with your beautiful a week in the life inspired me to document my own family's week. I had planned on using it as the intro to my album but I can't find the quote anywhere on your blog, do you happen to know which one I am talking about? I appreciate you or other readers time :)

I think Photobooth is for MAC only. Anyone know one for Windows ???

So sweet. I love the idea. In fact, I did a series on my blog last year where I did an entire month of posts, sharing different things that I was thankful for each day. I absolutely ♥ Christmas but really make a big effort not to skip over Thanksgiving as well.

That sounds wonderful. I hope that you have/had fun at the movies. The kids were off from school around here, but it was a miserable (thanks to hurricane Ida). A movie would have hit the spot...

Hi Ali,
What a great idea! I've got a question about the December daily album. I've always used creative memories album and I'm excited to be branching out. I found a cute red album that has 3 rings ( i don't plan to use the plastic sleeves). My question is do you put a heavier cardstock in between your pages so the pages won't be flimsy - any suggestions I would to hear what you have found works best? (I want me kids to be able to look thru it for years to come). I can't wait for December to be here!

I love this daily gratitude idea! I'm going to play along on my blog. And I love Molly's mini-book idea when it is all said and done. I just hope I can remember everyday to get my kids & husband to play along. Things get so busy when everyone is home from school & work in the evenings! But I'll work with what I do manage to get. THANKS!

Love your pictures. I noticed your jacket again, and in your Halloween pictures. What a beautiful color. Can you tell us more about it? Hmmm...

I love your pics of you and Simon! So fun! It so reminds that I need to let loose a little more. Started a new job this year and feel super stressed. I need to sometimes just let go and have fun with my 4 yr old and 6 yr old. I need to be a little more silly :)

I'm thankful to get a glimpse of your studio in the background...any chance of more photos of it? It's been a while since our last tour and I'm wondering if anything has changed. I'm in the middle of purging and reorganizing my studio and am looking for inspiration. Your simplicity always inspires.

I love how you and Simon are colour coordinated. Do you do that intentionally? When I take my babies out I often put them in matching clothes (my oldest one - 2 1/2 is starting to notice which is cute) - nobody else seems to notice or care, but it makes me happy :)
