I loved workbooks. It was such a great sense of accomplishment to plow through those activities! I also loved art class on Friday afternoons. Get real messy right before going home for the weekend:)

Buying a new school diary. Still have most of them. Loved to check them all out for weeks and then finally deciding on which would fit my style the best for the next school year.
And then buying another one in a totally different style after a few weeks into the school year on sale for the second half of it or to journal in :)

I loved when our classroom would switch teacher/classrooms. My elementary school only did this maybe twice a year, but it was so cool to sit in another friend's desk and be in a different classroom for the day!

I loved lightbulb moments - when I just 'got' it. I'm now a teacher and I still love those lightbulb moments, it's great to see my pupils 'getting' it - and I still experience them for myself, too!

I loved "penny candy" day at school - Wednesdays. We'd get to buy treats after lunch AND it was also the day we'd have arts & crafts. I still have some of my handmade holiday drawings and ornaments from elementary school - I treasure the memories they kindle.

My favorite thing about school was opening a nice new clean notebook and writing on it with that new pen that flows just right. Paper and pens, no wonder I love scrap booking. :-)

I always loved preparing for the new school year -- for myself and then for my own children. There was just something about the anticipation of sorting the new supplies, seeing my new room, etc. Loved it all! Thanks for the chance to win!

I loved school shopping: clothes, supplies, new backpack or lunch box...loved that. Looking back now- I wish I'd appreciated the actual learning process more at the time.

I loved my new school supplies the most, but I really just loved everything about it. My grandmother was a teacher and taught me many things before I ever learned them in school. She fostered a love for education that I will be forever grateful for.
