December Daily Featured In Scrapbooks Etc. Magazine
A really big thank you to Scrapbooks Etc. magazine for featuring my 2009 December Daily album in their December 2010 issue (available now).
A few months back I received an email from editor Michelle Rubin asking if I'd be interested in writing about the process of putting together a December Daily, including my top 10 tips and suggestions. I felt totally honored - it sounded like a really awesome opportunity to me!
They did a beautiful job photographing my album and laying out the 8-page article.
Members of the Scrapbooks Etc. editorial team are participating in creating albums this year and they've started including images and observations on their blog. I love seeing people's albums at this stage - so much potential and possibility - and the variety is really cool. People are taking the idea and running with it - creating albums that fit with their lifestyle, level of time commitment, etc.

Ali - I was so excited to see your name on the cover when I got my SBE magazine out of the mailbox... I had already read about December Daily in your blog but it was just so fun to see you featured- and I really enjoyed the article.

So do you save the whole magazine or just your articles. And what do you do with them? Folder, create an album with all of them?? Just wondering :)
This one I'll probably save the whole magazine (at least for awhile). All my past columns and pages that were published I ended up tearing out and putting into a binder.

Every year I'm intrigued. Yesterday I dug out my (very) unfinished December Daily from 2008. I stopped partially because i thought my pictures were dull and boring. Now, two years later, they're precious. Moments I can't ever capture again. It's amazing how the passage of time changes perceptions. I'm going to finish 2008 and get ready for 2010!
