TodaysMama.com and GameStop.com have made it their mission to give Santa a run for his money this year. TodaysMama.com is hosting Mama’s Holiday Wish List, a huge giveaway on their site and they’ve shared their stockpile of gifts with me so I can share them with you.

The annual Mama’s Holiday Wish List contest gives people a chance to read and share heartwarming, funny and inspiring answers to the Holiday Wish List Meme for a chance win a fantastic grand prize package from GameStop.com. Entering is easy, get the details and enter the grand prize giveaway here.

Here are my personal answers to the Holiday Wish List Meme:

  • What is your holiday wish for your family? That we giggle and laugh and snuggle and get all cozy together and really feel that awesome Christmas magic. We are in the prime Christmas magic years around here.

  • What is your Christmas morning tradition? Wait for the pitter-patter of Simon's feet in the hallway. Head downstairs and get all choked up over how excited he gets that Santa has visited our house. Just thinking about adding in Anna's excitement this year is almost too much for me to handle.

  • If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be? This is my most decadent dream gift at the moment: Volvo XC90.

  • How do you make the holidays special without spending any money? Listen to Christmas music via Pandora on your computer. I think one of the greatest gifts we can give our kids (and ourselves) is just spending time hanging out around the tree - playing with toys we already have, talking about the history of our ornaments, reading holiday books from the library and our own collection, chattering about Santa, etc.

  • What games did you play with your family growing up? We played Monopoly, Clue and lots of Super Mario Brothers.

  • What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood? Opening one present on Christmas Eve (we do PJ's here - when I was a kid it was one we picked out - usually something from a relative) and having an ornament box. My family was a little unique in that we often went together the day before (or a couple days before) Christmas and all shopped together - literally picking out our own gifts. We'd come home, put them all into a big wicker basket/chest in the living room, and then open up the chest on Christmas morning. We usually drove to downtown Seattle for the day which always made it even more special.

  • Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip? My parents will be in Hawaii this year and I'd love to be spending the holidays with them.

  • Check out GameStop and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year? Simon's a big Lego WII fan and I love Mario. It would be fun to add Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars or Lego Batman to our collection.

Well, if we're talking board games then PayDay is my favorite game ever. I have memories of playing the game with my grandma when I was little. Then, when I was on my honeymoon, my husband and I were wandering through an antique store and found the exact version of the game that my grandma and I had played. It's also near and dear to my heart because it's the only game I've ever been able to win against my husband!

If we're talking video games, then the Fable series is hands down my favorite. However, Mass Effect has been a close second!

My favourite game now would have to be either Settlers of Catan or Carcasonne or Lost Cities.

When I was younger my favourites were Clue and Sorry.

My favorite games are all card games, especially Hand & Foot, Sheepshead and Canasta. With young children in the house, these aren't played too much yet. As a family, we have the most fun with Apples to Apples!

My absolute favourite game is Scrabble. My boys however, prefer to play
electronic games, so I don't get to play Scrabble nearly as often as I would like.

We play a lot of different games with our girls. Probably my most favorite is Scrabble. It's something I played when I was younger and it's been great playing it with my own family!
