The annual Mama’s Holiday Wish List contest gives people a chance to read and share heartwarming, funny and inspiring answers to the Holiday Wish List Meme for a chance win a fantastic grand prize package from GameStop.com. Entering is easy, get the details and enter the grand prize giveaway here.

Here are my personal answers to the Holiday Wish List Meme:

  • What is your holiday wish for your family? That we giggle and laugh and snuggle and get all cozy together and really feel that awesome Christmas magic. We are in the prime Christmas magic years around here.

  • What is your Christmas morning tradition? Wait for the pitter-patter of Simon's feet in the hallway. Head downstairs and get all choked up over how excited he gets that Santa has visited our house. Just thinking about adding in Anna's excitement this year is almost too much for me to handle.

  • If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be? This is my most decadent dream gift at the moment: Volvo XC90.

  • How do you make the holidays special without spending any money? Listen to Christmas music via Pandora on your computer. I think one of the greatest gifts we can give our kids (and ourselves) is just spending time hanging out around the tree - playing with toys we already have, talking about the history of our ornaments, reading holiday books from the library and our own collection, chattering about Santa, etc.

  • What games did you play with your family growing up? We played Monopoly, Clue and lots of Super Mario Brothers.

  • What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood? Opening one present on Christmas Eve (we do PJ's here - when I was a kid it was one we picked out - usually something from a relative) and having an ornament box. My family was a little unique in that we often went together the day before (or a couple days before) Christmas and all shopped together - literally picking out our own gifts. We'd come home, put them all into a big wicker basket/chest in the living room, and then open up the chest on Christmas morning. We usually drove to downtown Seattle for the day which always made it even more special.

  • Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip? My parents will be in Hawaii this year and I'd love to be spending the holidays with them.

  • Check out GameStop and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year? Simon's a big Lego WII fan and I love Mario. It would be fun to add Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars or Lego Batman to our collection.

With two teenagers we all have our own favorite games, but when we all play together, its usually something on the Wii like Bowling, which leads to a lot of laughs and a great time had by all! I've just ordered a couple new to us board games hoping to draw the kids back in for family game night. I miss having them be little kids and WANT to be with mom. I know they have to grow up but does it have to be so darned fast?!

Our family favorite video game is MarioKart for Wii but we are a huge board game family. Lately my son has been loving Battleship and is getting rather skilled at beating mom & dad!

Our new favorite game this year was Rummikub. Even my daughter who doesn't really like to play games got addicted to it. I love how games can bring a room full of people together regardless of their ages and everyone has fun.

For the Wii it's of course Mario Brothers, and Monopoly the board game has always been big with my family. We also play a lot of cards. And, I'm playing World of Warcraft right now.

Yeah, we are all into all types of games! <3

I love anything trivia. Trivial Pursuit for board games, and Assasins Creed on the electric box ;) A bit of disparity there to keep my husband on his toes.

My favorite game as a child was Ms. Pacman but my daughter and I play Uno and Jennga. Of course, she beats me on anything on the Wii....so that is probably her favorite.
Thanks for the chance to win. :)

My favorite game when I was growing up was a card game called "Pit". My cousins and I would always play this and it was a blast. It is based on the stock market and everyone is yelling trying to trade cards so they can ring the bell.

One of our favorite games growing up was Clue. The mystery combinations were endless, and it was always a lot of fun! When my sister was little (she's 9 years younger than I, surprise baby!), we would play Yahtzee for DAYS!

Our favorite game is Monopoly. We started out with the board game when the kids were younger. They loved the game and it helped them learn to count money. Now we play it on the Wii and the kids still love it.
