The local sculpture park has a regular art fair mother's day weekend and we've gone the last couple years -- that's my favorite thing, spending time wandering around with the husband and kids, looking at art and no guilt when I pick out (and let my husband buy) something I love but wouldn't normally buy for myself :)

I haven't had many mother's days to recieve something, but my favorite mother's day "gift" was my son came waddling into my room (just learning to walk) wearing a I LOVe MOMMY shirt and said "some mama" and handed me a bag of chocolates. Sweetest mothers day memory ever.

We give our family picture every year to my mom for mothers day. She LOVES it!

I love to receive the gift of time in my Happy Place *ahem, ah, "Studio"*, while my family makes a delicious meal for us all to enjoy together, after which, I get to go back into the Happy Place while they clean up amidst happy chatter and singing.

Yeah, they've actually done that before.

    Ali, you have amazing sponsors!

My favorite thing to "give" on mother's day is actually just to spend time with my mom. We live about 4 hours away from each other, so I don't get to see her for mother's day very often.

Ever since my mom died almost 6 years ago, we've kept Mother's Day low key. I spend the day with my son and husband and we usually do something outdoors (like visit our annual Lilac Festival). We always take at least one picture to commemorate the day and our time together.
