Oh man, I would LOVE handmade cards from my kids - ! wish my hubby would think to "help" the little hands with that! My mom always wants a big hanging basket full of flowers to hang outside. I love that we know what to get her, and despite knowing what she is getting, it makes her so very happy!

Hi Ali! A few years ago we realized we had a Tom of "stuff" so for morher's day we started a pretty 3 ring binder with page protectors. Every mother's day I write a letter to my mom and put it in the binder..and my boys write letters to both me and my mom (their Grammy). Both mom and I think it is the best gift ever, and I look forward to it every year! Trish

Handmade cards from my children, though now they are teens and they make them digitally - their thoughtful comments or funny phrases are still keepers!

Favorite thing by far for Mothers Day is a trip to Disneyland. My whole family loves it. I'm also a huge fan of Lisa's.

I like to receive visits from my family for Mother's Day, but one year they all went in together to give me a ticket to American Idol's Summer Tour! It was fantastic!

My favorite gift is the funny card that my son always picks out himself at the store. He doesn't do handmade cards, but somehow he always manages to find the single most hilarious card in the store. I love that. Lisa Leonard is awesome -- just ordered a necklace for my friend Danielle for Mother's Day, who lost her husband in Afghanistan last year. It has the names of all four kids engraved on it. Thanks Ali!

My mother has been gone since 96 and I apologised to her in my adult life because we got her such awful gifts for Mother's day in my childhood and she said, it was the idea that we wanted to get her something that counted to her, and we had no store to get anything nice. (It was usually something ugly to hang on the wall) I will be with my kids and grandkids on the week-end after Mother's Dad at our grandson's wedding and I'm going to playlike it's my BIG day too, and enjoy being with everyone without being the cook. :O)

OMG...I have two boys and one girl, I get such a kick out of what the boys think of. One year I received a card from my middle son, it was SO vintage looking with this Momma and little boy on the front, he was 18 at the time. My heart melted. My daughter makes or buys the most sentimental cards with just amazing words/message inside. My heart flutters with joy:)

My favorite thing to give my mom on Mother's Day is the gift of time. Whether it is doing her errands for her so she can do the things she wants instead, or spending the day with her, she really appreciates my devotion of the entire day to just her.

Each year my children play in a piano recital on Mother's Day. The gift of seeing all their hard work come to fruition goes beyond words. This recital focuses on the classical composers, providing movements that stirs the soul.
