My favorite thing to receive has been homemade cards & projects from my boys. The best was the year I went upstairs & found them sitting in my studio stamping Mother's Day cards for me while still in their jammies. It was so sweet.

When my kids were little, instead of flowers I asked that they give me flower SEEDS and then we could spend the day planting. Often, the weather cooperated. Then we could enjoy all our hard work, and Mother's Day gifts showed up later in the season...that was one long and enjoyable Mother's Day!!!
But now, I enjoy honoring my daughter for Mother's Day. She is just amazing to me and my grandkids couldn't want for a better mom!

My favorite thing to give is a handmade card along with a single rose flower which is kind of a long ongoing family tradition. A yummy dark chocolate fix is also always appreciated too :)

Since my mom has been gone for several years I like to send cards to my friends that friendships have helped fill a void in my life.
For me I just enjoy hanging out with my kids, as they are older, and catching up maybe doing Bocce ball.

an acknowledgement of their love on any other day of the year is more appreciated than even on Mother's Day because it is not brought out solely because of the occasion...

My favorite thing to do on Mother's day is have a nice breakfast with my family which includes 4 generations. We usually specd the day bike riding as a family and getting icecream down at Riverplace. Of course a exercise class, pedicure, massage and hair is great too.

My husband cleaned my van, inside and out, last year for Mother's Day. I'm hoping he's that generous again this year. It could really use a good cleaning.

I was actually talking about this to someone this past week. Best Mother's Day gift that my hubby gave to me was a handmade shadow box. He is NOT a crafty person whatsoever, but had gone to our LSS and got a shadow box and acrylic paint & Chipboard letters. As he worked through out the day (he drives all day long) he worked on my gift. The shadow box has pictures of all of our children and he placed the chipboard letters to spell "Marde" (Mother in Spanish) I love it SO much its the best gift ever I have it displayed in my craft room & I love to get asked about it because I get to tell everyone how amazing my hubby is to come on over to my crafty world and make something so special-He made it 5 years ago and it means so much each time I go into my craft room and see it.
