Sponsor Giveaways | The Mother Load, Summer Card Camp 2011
GIVEAWAY | One person will receive a spot in Lain Ehmann's upcoming 13-week online class at Big Picture Classes: The Mother LOAD: A Scrapbook Marathon
SPECIAL OFFER | In addition to receive $20 off of The Mother LOAD use code: load2011
Are you a marathon scrapbooker? Do you want to be? As crazy as it may sound, scrapbookers have a lot in common with runners. Both can run into the same problems – lack of time, isolation, a routine that has become more of a drudgery than a help. The good news? You can easily overcome these obstacles.
No, Lain won’t make you run 26.2 miles in just a few hours – but she will challenge you to scrapbook 26 layouts in 26 days! Through The Mother LOAD - A Scrapbook Marathon, part of the 4Experts series for 2011, Lain will show you how committing to making scrapbooking a priority in your life will help you:
- Scrapbook faster
- Love your pages more
- Actually USE your stash
- Connect with what you love best about this hobby of ours
The first two months of class will be spent on “basic training” to increase your stamina, refine your process, and get you mentally and physically ready for the ultimate challenge: creating a layout a day for the first 26 days of September. After you cross the finish line, there will be time for reflection – and celebration!

WOW 2 of the classes I've been biting my nails for. Right now we are in super tight budget mode so I will have to hold my classes purchases for a bit so we can make the most of this Summers Staytion. Thanks for the chance.

I was inspired by this inspiration board https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-EmbMZNglrPE/TYgsAeYqLXI/AAAAAAAAARw/8fLTuA92dtM/s1600/Yellow_Bedroom.jpg this week. I'm in love (and obsessed!) with grey & yellow right now!

This week, I was inspired by Big Picture Classes and Stacy J's Photo Freedom Class. On week 2 she talks about digital workflows and how she identifies the photos she is going to scrap. good Stuff.

The post that I am most inspired by this week is Julie Balzer's blog post about art journalling every day. I am overwhelmed by the process of art journalling daily but her idea for June is exciting. Julie sectioned off a double page into 30 small squares and she is doing a block a day. Brilliant! I am going to do that for July. Here is the link

This might sound dorky, but I was inspired this week by my to-do list. I have a lot to get finished, and having a list really helped me to get through it!
I've also been loving Pinterest. I use it mostly to keep a visual catalog of my own bookmarks, which means that I'm seeing them and trying the ideas I've found all over the web!
Thank you for the giveaways!

I was inspired this week because of an important deadline coming. My niece is coming to live with us for a while, and I was inspired to learn what a 15 year old girl likes (I have boys!) and how I an decorate her room to be fun and welcoming.

LOAD scares me...but I would love to give it a try. Here is a post that has some wonderful ideas on what to do with all those cards you get

I scrap a few times a year and do a "marathon" approach and scrap ALL day long for a weekend when I can squeeze it in. This class sounds like it's right up my alley!!
