Two Peas Creating Garden

The Creating Garden theme for January 2006 is Dreams and Goals. So many cool pages over there this month. I had a chance to do just a couple - this is my favorite:

Jan_pursuit_2 A lot of times when I am working on creating a layout I like to focus on one word...and see what comes to me. For this page it was pursuit. The image of the camera came from the box that my Holga came in - I had been hanging on to it for just the right expression. This was it.

No Regrets stamp from River City Rubber Works. Pursuit letter chip board letters from Heidi Swapp. Ribbon from Strano Designs. Clip from Lil Davis. Year stamp from Stampin Up (I love the whole set of date stamps that came with this one). Red rub on alpha from Scrapworks.

Some of the other layouts in the Garden that really spoke to me this month:

This girl continues to inspire me in so many different ways. You can connect with Mary Grace on her blog: Momentary Bliss

This one because that top photo just makes me smile.

This one for the combination of elements and that awesome little piece of notebook paper.

This one for the passion, the colors, the raw nature.

This one for the sentiment and the photo.

This one just becuase I LOVE everything about it. So totally cool. Makes me want to scrap big time.

This one for the simplicity and this one for the concept.

Ok, I just have to ask......have you used your Holga yet? I am so fasinated by them, and the art they can achieve, but I cant find one here in Australia.......and Im not sure that I can get medium format film here in town either.
I have been thinking about making a Holga filter for Photoshop, or a filter for my Digital, but then, you dont get the red, where the light is let in.....Hmmmm.
Anyways, would love to see any pics you have taken with that Holga.
Love the layout, will check the links later!

I was so excited to follow the link to the Lomography Site - I am really tempted to pick up the pinhole camera they have over there - though it's much fancier than the pinhole camera I made YEARS ago from a Quaker Oats Container - I always had so MUCH fun with it - I think I am more tempted by the Medium Format camera......so much fun. Thanks Ali - for the constant source of inspration!

Yeah, Ali, share some of your Holga pics! Did you take it to Amsterdam? That seems like the perfect setting for the look the Holga gives. :)

I think I'm in love with you. And if I ever have a girl, I'll name her Ali because I think that's such a sassy name. ;)

Ali, I know that you probably hear this often, and I am sure that you question the genuine feeling behind these comments, but I just wanted to thank you for your continued inspiration. Your words, your work, your personality, your class, has inspired. You have actually had an impact on someone, and isn't that a reason we scrapbook. I know that we all want to leave a fingerprint, a legacy, a heritage behind. But, don't we all want to touch someone? I do. And I thank you for doing that for me.
Keep up that great work that continues to move so many of us!

Rockin! Totally Rockin! I can't, for the life of me, figure out, even after I checked out the garden, how the layouts you pointed out strike me as brand new to me. I know I saw them, but taking that second look really draws you in! A nice reminder that I need to take second looks and really "see" things.
    Rockin'!
    thanks

Oh no! It's gone! You had a different quote up on the sidebar of your blog until recently (replaced by the Robert Fulghum quote). I meant to write it down and never did and now it's gone! Can you post it or e-mail me?! Thanks so much! I always check your blog for the inspirational quotes!
