Wednesday Sponsor Giveaways: Get It Scrapped, Lettergirl, and Scarlet Lime
One person will receive an online class spot in Art Journaling 101 and another person will get a spot in Art Journaling 102 with Dina at Get It Scrapped.
Are there are times when photos and journaling on a traditional scrapbook page don’t convey all you’d like? Scrapbooker, mixed-media collage artist, and visual journaler Dina Wakley uses a line-upon-line approach in her online classes at Get It Scrapped! to teach even those who think they’re not artistic the craft of making Art Journal pages. Classes include downloadable pdf and video lessons.
In Art Journaling 102 Dina teaches you how to “amp” up your images, layers, and textures. Art Journaling 101 covers the basics of art and journaling techniques and includes a bonus Spray Ink tutorial.
One person will receive a Katie Return Address Stamp (choice of rubber or self-inking) from Lettergirl.
Gina has been hand-lettering for 16 years. She sells her custom
stationery through retail stationery stores across the country; the "Katie Return Address"
design is an etsy exclusive.
One person will receive Scarlet Lime's bright and cheerful February kit. You can read more about Scarlet Lime here.
To be entered into the drawing today leave a comment letting me know something that is making you happy right now. Comments will be closed at 8pm this evening with the winners posted shortly after.
Perfect timing for this response. I have been feeling so UNhappy lately. BUT I have started focusing on the GOOD in people and situations and that makes me happy!

Being a family is making me happy right now. After several months of extreme busyness with our jobs and my son's recent heart surgery we are finally living calmly again after quite awhile. Just being "us" makes me happy.

I'm happy that I competed in my first ever moot court competition last night. It was my first opportunity to dress up and "play lawyer," and while it was intimidating, I did just fine and now have the experience!

Spending time with our youngest makes me happy. Our others are at school, she is my last at home, that makes me sad but happy.

Back in September, my 3 y/o daughter dropped her nap, and while we moved her bed time up, she was usually very cranky by the time we could finish dinner. This past week, she's been an angel. She will be 4 in March, and I think we've turned a corner.
What is making me happy these days is picking out books with her, snuggling in her bed, reading bedtime stories with her, and softly singing our nighttime prayers.

I have two birdfeeders off my sunroom and right now I have about 30 birds of about 8 or 9 varieties that are there constantly - always makes me think of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (the busiest airport in the world) with all the flying in and out - but I love it and it makes me so happy every time I go by.

I host a charity crop each year and it's this Saturday. We've sold out and I anticipate making a lot of money for Hospice... THAT makes me happy :)

I'm happy about the spring break trip we've planned to New York City. It will be great to have a family vacation which includes our college son and our High School Senior daughter. I know it will be harder and harder to plan family trips as they will soon be on their own.

I'm happy right now because I'm participating in Elsie (Flannigan) and Rachel's spring class. It's so much fun and it only started this week. I'm also happy because I'm creating art journal pages in Kelly Kilmer's A Prompt A Day class which I've been taking since January. Lots of fun there too. So far an inspiring year......I've learned to create my own happiness and not just wait for it to happen.

Both of my girls are finding their way in life...creating and living the life that means the world to them.

Right now I'm enjoying a nice cup of coffee while watching the snow gently fall and hearing the delight in both my girls voices as they watch the snow.

Happy? Oh yes...so many things. The "baby boom" that is happening right now is a joy and wonder to witness - both online and close by. As someone who was not blessed with a family of my own it is absolutely wonderful to watch all the newness and joy and sadness (sometimes) that little ones seem to bring to their family...I am looking out at the sun shining down while cozy in my home. I am so happy to be healthy after many years of struggles. I am so happy my husband is here for a couple of more weeks before his long travels begin...I'll stop now because honestly, today, I could go on and on about big and small things that make me happy. Thank you for sharing your family.

What makes me happy right now, being with my kids. They have so much to share and I have so much to learn from them. I love my family, I just wish I could put them in a box and keep them forever! KD

What makes me happy right now, is the ability to work from home and be able to help my family when they need the help, rather than just when I can give the help.
(Of course seeing pictures of Anna also makes me happy! :) )

What's making me happy right now is seeing, really seeing, how God is working in my heart and my life.
