Two people will receive a spot in Renee Pearson's new digital scrapbooking class, “Just the Basics, Ma’am” at her training site, reneepearson.com (begins June 25th). Pearson, former editor at Digital Scrapbooking magazine, is the bestselling author of the Digital Designs for Scrapbooking series.
Renee is known for her easy-to-understand writing and teaching style. She promises fun, fast and easy lessons designed specifically for the beginning or occasional digital scrapbooker and crafter. Topics covered over the four weeks include:

• Adding digital embellishments
• Understanding brushes and layer masks

This is a really busy weekend for me. I will be hosting a baby shower for my daughter, who is having a little girl next month, on Sunday. The first thing Monday morning we are leaving with my daughter and her family to go camping and fishing for 3 nites just outside of Madras, OR. Busy, busy, but lots of fun things happening!

I am excited to have my first jazz gig tonight! I've been singing for years but never jazz and then a month ago my husband (the jazz pianist in the group) invited me to join their set for this evening! After weeks of hard practicing I am ready! And I'm secretly excited too, about the scrapbook page that may emerge from this little adventure :) Planning to take some video and have someone do photos in hopes for a little layout inspiration to accompany the new story in my life!

I am excited that my 16 year old daughter just wants to spend time with me this weekend. Little brother and dad went to visit Grandma, so it has been mother-daughter time. These times are getting fewer and farther between, so it makes me very appreciative!
