It is Saturday Night, and it is a freezing cold one here in Australia. I am finding it hard to remember the summer let alone my favourite tradition!!! But thanks so much for the opportunity to win one of these great gifts.

the state fair!! my parents and i go with my son, and he gets to see all the barnyard animals, eat the freshest ice cream ever, and ride some rides. there's a place for fishing and a lot of local talent too. it's usually so hot we have to drink a lot of lemon shake ups.

We send every summer visiting Lake of the Ozarks and hanging out with extended family members. We spend the day floating in the water or riding in the boat and spend evening just sitting around visiting and catching up. Very relaxing.

the bologna (or "baloney" as we should be spelling it!) sandwich was and is always it's best on a summer day, with a little mayo, on white bread and crunch some potato chips on it...and of course washed down with orange Kool Aid!

The drive-in for us. We go every summer to one by us. We didn't make it last year and how I missed it. It makes such a cozy evening and while we are creating new memories with the kids (we are starting theme nights this year) I am also reliving a memory from when I was a child.
May everyone have an awesome summer.

My favorite summer tradition is my daughters participation on swim team. It consumes a lot of our time but we've made such good friends and lasting memories, it's all worth it!

Taking my great niece and great nephew to the park to see the flag display. I always take their pic standing next to my fathers flag. It never fails to make me very emotional.

Our families summer tradition is going to my husbands grandparents home on Lake Erie over the July 4th Holiday. I can't begin to tell you the memories that have been made there. My girls are so very fortunate to have "great-grandparents" in their lives and spending time with them is truly a blessing to be cherished for a lifetime.

4th of July at the cabin. My husbands' great uncle plays the accordion and we all swat mosquitos and deerflies. Really, it IS fun! ;D

We head to my in-laws cabin in northern Wisconsin for the fourth, where our tradition is to decorate the pontoon boat in red, white, and blue, and participate in the annual boat parade on the lake.

Every year at least once, we drive from our lakehouse to South Haven, MI and stop to pick blueberries. I think sometimes more blueberries go into the mouth than the bucket...but they expect that and put that into the price! (have to test them you know).

Favorite summer tradition...don't really have one yet, but one thing we look forward to when warm weather hits is the opening of Ritas Italian Ice. Delicious. And of course, the fireworks. =)
