Joyously lived.
Found this gem on Brene's blog recently.
I love what she said about it,
To choose joy over the fear and vulnerability of being different orweird or ridiculed is a tremendous act of courage - one that touches
all of us.
It also totally reminds me to stop just going through the motions, or doing things just because that is the way they have always been done. What a tremendously wonderful celebration of life.
It seriously makes me want to get up and dance.
I want my life to be so joyously lived.
What a way to start out a marriage! As the saying goes, "Start out the way you mean to go on!" If so than this couple will have a life filled with Great friends, lots of fun, and the ability to laugh at and with themselves. You cannot ask for anything more.

I have this on my blog too. It is so fun. Makes me want to marry my husband again just so we could do something like this.

shared with you (and obviously this couple and many other posters) that life is to be lived joyously and what a joyful way to start celebrating your life together as a married couple!
and honestly -- I don't think I've ever attended and not cried at some point in the ceremony, often my eyes welling up when the bride enters. And this was no exception but I was crying before that. I was just so happy for this couple.

Love it!! Too often we miss out on the opportunities for playfulness and silliness.... it's good to see it come back in different forms. Who says everybody has to conform, be different and PLAY!!!

This is so joyful- from the tone and lyrics of the song, to the energy the wedding party puts into it, to the hot pink sunglasses! Normally I think big dance routines at weddings are just over the top, but this one felt so genuine that I enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for sharing. : )

Now there are some people who know how to celebrate the relationship and not just be concerned about the wedding day! Good for them. I had tears, goosebumps and a huge smile on my face while watching it.
Can't wait to see how they celebrate their 50th anniversary!

Oh my goodness, I saw this video about a month ago, and laughed so hard at it I nearly cried! So much fun, and uniqueness (sp?!) Wouldn't it have a kick to have been a guest at that wedding! :-) Love the little joys in life.

I also teared up at the end, just watching their joy. Wouldn't it be great if you lived your life in such a way that when you died, people said, "her joy just rubbed off on everyone around her?" Now THAT is the way to live!
Thank you for sharing that. I hadn't seen it although my sister saw it on the news and Entertainment Tonight! LOL
And hey...I go to a Pentecostal church and we dance and act happy every church service so it didn't seem disrespectful to me at all. LOL!

I got this forwarded to me via email a couple of weeks ago and have watched it many times since. I love, love it! So wonderful that they had the idea, got their friends on board and followed through. You are so right, some traditions could use a make-over.

Thanks so much for sharing that wonderful video Ali. I totally agree with your sentiments about it. I just got married and we really made an effort to make it fun and different. I did find though that we things got stressfull or busy or when I focused on the magazines or other people's expectations of what a wedding should be, I felt the pull towards "the norm." It takes work (or "courage" perhaps) to really live your life. Thanks for the reminder.

I am watching the movie Revolutionary Road and the character April played by just Kate Winslet said "It takes backbone to live the life you want."

I think that this is fabulous!! How could the marriage not good if they are entering into it with this much happiness? My friend is getting married in September and we are planning to do something similar towards the end of the ceremony. I can't wait to kick off her marriage with such a happy beginning!!
