GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.

Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

As soon as I clean items out that I don't want or need I put them in my car to take to Goodwill the next chance I get!

Spring cleaning is all about checking the closets for stacks of paper stuff you thought you needed to save...magazine, etc. and then get the dumpster out and toss!

I'm passionate about Spring cleaning. I really do get that bug to just pitch the clutter and make everything shiny. I like to clean my windows with dishwasher soap because of the rinse agent included in the formula that leaves no streaks. We are still buried under a blanket of green pollen from all the oak trees budding out, so window cleaning is still a few weeks away for me! This class looks amazing! Thanks for sharing!

Wait until after tax season! And then clean everything. Not really a tip, more of a scheduling thing.

My favorite spring cleaning tip is a way to eliminate "stuff". If I haven't used an item since the last spring cleaning, then it goes!

    Love this giveaway!!!....
And my cleaning tips are to use solution 10% vinegar and 90% water in the spray bottle and clean just everything! Eco friendly and efficient! To spread some soda powder on the mattresses and vacuum it after some time, to put the pillow under the sun and wind!! To add some drops of lavender oil to the bucket of water to clean the floor.. And the fresh air, of course!…

I don't particularly "Spring" clean, but totally agree with the comments of opening the windows to freshen up the house. In whatever season I do clean, my first task is to declutter and basically find everything an organized place to belong.

By the way, love the idea of this class!

I target one small area that I know I have time to attack and finish - clear, sort, and clean. only when that little space is finished do I move on to the next small section/drawer/shelf/cupboard - be it directly or the next day or whenever. my biggest problem is getting the sorted out stuff out of the house! LOL.

Thanks for the giveaway, Ali. You are always coming up with such great ones. Spring cleaning? Mom and I are pretty neat from the start. We are also decluttering divas. So our spring cleaning tip is to have things in their place so that cleaning is a matter of just taking care of the seasonal things--washing the sheers, cleaning the windows, wiping down the walls, etc.

What a fun class, would love to win it! I definately have the stash to go with it!! I guess that would be my spring tip, although I do it about every 4 months. I hate to throw my left over parts and pieces away. So as I am working I put them into a box. Then I take that box and organize them. I put things into categories usually of certain themes or by colors. I have baggies I then put them in. This makes it easier to find later when I want something. Thanks so much for the great give away!!

As my 'One little word' this year is organise I chose to organise my wardrobe - once I'd started I found I wanted to organise the whole bedroom and I then moved on to another etc. So my tip it just set yourself a small job and see how it grows. The hardest part is getting started so pick a small job that is not too daunting and once complete it will inspire you to do more. honest! If that fails - loud boppy music can help get you motivated.
So love the class - it would be a great start to organising my ever growing scraps.

For me, I make sure to keep my recycling bins going year round. I like to change over my decor from winter to Spring in little ways. Open up the windows let the fresh air in. This whole year for me is about clearing out the clutter. I have boxes set aside for Goodwill and those antiques that I need to put on consignment. Plus a wedding to get ready for at my house. I don't know that I have tips, but more of a lifelong goal to simplify.

I love scrapbooking but could never find the time to really get going and now that I blog and do the bookkeeping for my boyfriend's business, I doubt that I'd keep it up.

What would be fun is to turn some of my blog posts into a scrapbooking page weekly. I wish I still had Elements (I upgraded to W7 and my E7 didn't upgrade with me).

If you have any suggestions on sites that will allow me to create a scrapbooking page for my blog, I'm all ears! Thanks

I like to break down my spring cleaning into small bits. I take 15-20 minutes a day and tackle a job. It doesn't seem so overwhelming by doing it that way. Also, I use Mrs. Meyers cleaning products - makes the house smell soooo refreshing!

Turn the tv off. Leaving the tv on while I clean gets me sidetracked. So I put my shoes on, turn the tv off and hit the carept running and start my spring cleaning

I keep a perpetual "give away" bag right next to my driver side door in the garage. Every single time I come across something my kids won't wear anymore, or it's an item I keep moving around, but not using...it goes in the bag.
Then every month when the "donation truck organizations" call, out the bags go.

I use a timer to get me moving and motivated. The idea comes from Flylady's website which I have gratefully followed off and on for many years!

Spring is a great time to remove clutter or donate stuff we collected over the winter months. Old magazines, old clothes (donate what don't fit or don't use anymore). I make a pile of these items by the door for donation pick-up/drop-off. My biggest problem is the kids' papers from school.
