I like simple. I like healthy. I like routine. Any time I can find a combination of those three things I get really excited.

eMeals recently contacted me and asked if I'd be interested in testing out their monthly meal planning service.

Figuring out what to eat and feed my family has always been my responsibility. I've written in the past about the challenges we've faced with Simon's eating habits (super picky, texture aversions, etc). Often times it has just been easier to feed him his preferred foods vs. planning something that leads to a ton of resistance. I want to keep encouraging him and modeling good healthy eating habits. Having a favorite treat at the end of the meal as something to work towards doesn't hurt either.

All of that lead me to saying yes to eMeals.

I chose the Natural & Organic Family Plan and each week I get an email that includes 7 dinners (main dish + side) with ingredients and instructions, and a grocery shopping list. I'm loving having a list of pre-planned options each week and I love that someone is doing the work for me. I don't always stick exactly with the meals on the list but I love having it there as a jumping off point. So far it's been relatively successful - I've been picking a couple meals a week to try and having other nights be some of the Simon's preferred meals (grilled cheese, bean & cheese burritos, cheese pizza, baked potato, etc).     I need this!! I'm a horrible meal planner and think it would be very beneficial to my kids! I could go with anything. But probably natural/organic or maybe paleo because that diet intrigues me.

    I'd definitely like to get some good meals that don't require alot of physical prep--since I've got Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I'm exhausted all the time.

    Classic, Clean or Simple Gourmet would work well for my family. I would love to try the Paleo, just because I have so many friends on the Paleo plan, and to try to figure it out - I haven't had time to research.

    OMG as a working MOther this would be awesome! First I have heard of it..... I would try a "low carb" healthy version as that is how we are trying to eat these days.... how wonderful it would be to have all this already done ! Now if only they would actually DO the shopping too :)

    This would be perfect for my fam of 2, me and my husband. He is a diabetic with other health issues so we are both looking to eat better. Besides, it's hard cooking for 2. There aren't a lot of recipes that really cater to smaller meals. This would be a great win!

    What a great idea, I had never heard of this before. I would choose the Paleo Meal Plan. I like the idea of getting back to our roots and eating naturally without processed foods.
