December Daily® 2017 | First Look Facebook Live Video

Yesterday I did a Live Video in the December Daily® Facebook Group that we recorded on a second camera in order to share with you here on my blog and on YouTube

For additional preview images from the kits please check out this page

This is the first year that we've shared more of the product selection in advance of the Order Selection Period starting (begins next Wednesday, September 6th at 10:30am PDT) and it was so fun to get to show you some of the new products in the video. As always we look forward to sharing the season with you.

Again, awesome awesome December stuff. Thankyou for knowing what I want and what I need to tell my stories. There are of course some leftovers in january, But believe me, not so much,
I have a question. You are talking about different journalling card bundles. Does that mean that the kits don't have journalling cards? Or are the bundles just an exciting add on?

Hi! The kits will absolutely have cards too. The journal card bundles shown in the video are separate and optional!

Yesterday's video was just like Christmas morning! Thank you so much for all the intention you put into the products you design... amazing again this year! I'm excited to see more about the journal. I am waiting for all the digital product in October and may have already listened to my Christmas playlist once or twice this week. Bring on the Christmas stories :).

Loving that green 6x8 album! I moved all of my December Daily books to another shelf in my bedroom and I was thinking how I was missing green. You read my mind! :)

i'm pretty keen on the green album too, but try to never stress if i don't get my first choice, because it's the photos and words inside that really count.

This is going to sound really silly. But as much as I want to say YES to everything in the release I realize that's just a little crazy. That being said I'm curious. If I dont buy everything at the DD release, will that impact my experience if I take the DD Product Play class? It's totally a case of FOMO but it's like what if there's something in the class that uses some product from the release that *gasp* I did not choose? I realize that DD is not it's not all about the product but the story. But the class is a product play class. What if you dont have the product to play with?

Also....I *love* everything. I'm all heart eyes over the chipboard and excited to see the number sets!

My idea with the class is that we are going to focus on coming up with ideas for working and playing with three different shape categories: stars, hearts, and circles. I'll be using products from the kit + products from the shop and probably others from places like Scrapbook.com and/or punches. As always, you never have to have exact products - it's more about the ideas of working with different products in playful ways. Does that make any sense?

Yes it does. Thanks for the information. And for making such awesome, intentional products!

Just love the video with all the sneaks!! As one who has wanted a religious theme as part of my Christmas album, I am super happy for the religious cards. Thank you!

The chipboard set will be a must for me for sure and of course, one of the albums too - possible Jasmines's! Cannot wait to see all the kits and order next week! :)). Birthday month for me next month....so I love that I can order freely and not feel guilty. ;)

This product class sounds so fun! I often have "all the things" and then sit and stare wondering what to do with them. It is things like this class and your attention to different products, different approaches and always being open to trying to make products that people ask for that keeps me a die hard and loyal customer/fan. You never disappoint and I am so thankful that I discovered you and your products to get my stories told!

Hi Ali - I can relate, and laugh at myself, to your video intro... "did you push the button? did you turn it on? is it red?" as I would do the same thing!! I'm trying to stop and catch myself from doing that as I've been told it's annoying, mothering, etc. Whereas I just see it as being efficient and eliminating the need to do it over again if the button wasn't pushed. I'm all about efficiency and yet, I can make it worse... if you know what I mean. Ahhhh to growth and learning.

Oh yeah... I love the DD line! You are truly amazing, gifted and talented. thank you :)

Ha! I think it was even more pronounced this time because we were using a different new-to-us camera. Full faith in Katie! Pretty sure she gets me too!

Love the products this year! Again, I want too many items--and it is difficult to not over buy! I still have so much unused from previous years ... so I will struggle with not getting everything " just in case"! Rubber pieces, chipboard, kits ... any suggestions on how to focus on less purchasing so as not to overwhelm? Everything is so great! Also, how much will the new product play class be and how will it differ from your daily DD blog posts? Thank you, Ali, for all the great stuff!

We haven't nailed down a price for the new class - it will be different from my daily blog posts in that those are my actual stories. The class will be more about different ideas for playing with the products focusing on the following shapes as the foundation for the class: circles, stars, hearts. To minimize overwhelm I recommend just getting an album + the main kit and then maybe one or two other things that really gets you excited AND that you will use!

My nearly 7-year-old is so excited about the kids kit and I am really excited to share with her something I love so much. She was in awe watching your video because I told her we both taught at Crafting Connection in NZ many many years ago and that I TA'd in your class in Sydney. Wishfully she asked, "So are you gonna make a video like this?" And then she told her brother, "That's Mama's friend and she's famous." Cracked me up!! Thanks for the continued inspiration. Changed my mind on wanting more embellishment options that are separate from the kits...because now I am going to want most (if not all) of the extras! Love everything I see so far!

Hi Ali! I can't wait for December Daily, last year was my first year doing the project and I loved it so much I couldn't wait for it again this year. I had a question about the DD class (not the product play one), will it be the same as last year or is it new? I took the class last year and it helped so much with figuring out which stories I wanted to tell. Thanks!
