December Daily® 2017 | Day 08
Welcome to December Daily® 2017 | Day 8.
Today's story hits on the topics of weather and of slowing down and paying attention.
Here's a look at what my Day 8 looked like when I started via my Foundation Pages:
And here's what it ended up looking like in my album:
I began today by thinking that I was just going to fill in the 3, 3 x 4 pockets. As I started filming I decided that I did want to include both the photos I'd take this morning - a close up shot of the grass and a farther away shot of my house.
The close up grass photo was printed to 6 x 8 and then I cut up the photo to fill the pockets - removing one of them to keep the see-through from Day 7. The photo of my house was cropped to 6.75 x 8.25.
On top of the bottom right photo I added a 1/2 circle chipboard piece from the December Daily® Chipboard Bundle + a cork number 8 from the Main Kit.
The handwritten "eight" is part of the December Daily® 6x8 Digital Overlay Package. Loved telling this kind of story today. Remember, this project/album doesn't have to be all about just Christmas - it can be stories of everyday life and simply stories of the season you are in right now.

Love all the whiteness in this layout. Here is my day 8http://www.petracorcoran.com/december-daily-2017-day-8/
Beautiful page! Love the foldout! And the story of how the magic changes as the kids get older. It's still magic, just different.

Love the contrast between the two big photos!
We had snow here in Austin, the first time I remember seeing it in December and I finally got a snow page for my DD.

Love this story. I've been taking pictures of my house and yard in different seasons this year too, and documenting it in Project Life. On Day 7, I added a winter sky picture to my album. Today we have our first light snow, AND the leaf truck is picking up the leaves. A converging of two seasons!

If this has been asked before I apologize. It's hard to tell if your'e using matte or glossy photo stock. Which do you prefer for these books?
Hi! I use glossy photo paper - just my personal preference. I use Epson Premium Glossy usually.

I like the cut up photo and the full size one with journaling -- the close-up and the far away views of your frosty day. My day eight on my Instagram: https://instagram.com/p/BcfmqTzDJ-G/
