More Stories Of Summer In My Notebook

In today's  Craft The Story video (Episode 26) I’m sharing how I’m getting a few more stories told in my Stories Of Summer Notebook

I'm still really enjoying this style of documenting - it feels like the perfect mix of storytelling + play that I need/want in my memory keeping right now.

Also just a quick heads up that Stories Of Travel #02 workshop starts next week! Get all the details + register here.

Let's dive right in with today's video:

Here's a look at the finished spreads in my notebook:

Man I love that graphic alpha stamp in black on top of the map. So fun.

I printed out my journaling (sized to fit) and really liked adding it to a page that I cut smaller and added an Avery Index Tab along the edge (just like a different sized page insert I'd add into a ring album).

A fun pattern paper from the Circle Scrapbook Kit became a home for highlighting a couple memories.

My final spread today is based on an email my Mom sent recently when Anna was visiting (along with my sister and niece). Love the opportunity to bring in another voice.

Totally thought Wes Anderson when I saw the rest room photo. Also, yes to removing pages from the TN. Before getting started, I will go to the center of a signature and remove pages.

Loving this idea of a Summer Book.🙂 I am going to start one soon. (I had another project I wanted to finish up first-got that done yesterday) I read a tip that someone glued pages together in their TN so it didn't get too bulky, so maybe that will work for you?

Loving this book! I did one last year that was from the month of March and it's still one of my favorites. One tip is to print journaling and patterns on regular copy paper so it is thinner as opposed to on matte paper. And I would pull off the backing of my chipboard so it wasn't adding as much bulk to the pages. I tended to use vellum pieces and more word phrase stickers in general for my book to make it thinner. Hope that helps!

Love the idea of trimming down a page that is already part of the book to make an "insert," instead of adding in something that would contribute more to the overall thickness.
