Now Story Kit + May 2023 Stories By The Month™ Kit

Today's the 10th of the month and that means a new  Story KitStory Stamp, and Stories By The Month kit

This month we are focusing on stories related to the theme of Now.

Documenting what's happening in real time is one of my favorite ways to tell the story of my life. Themes like currently, around here, and right now invite us to look around and capture the lives we are living in the moment vs. waiting for a future time when we try to remember (we all now how hard that can be). This month we are coming together to tell some stories of own personal now.

Initial story ideas for this theme include:

  • Make a list of what's happening in your life right now. A simple list is a great way to capture little bits of what's real for you in this season.
  • Right now what are you loving/listening/watching/eating/reading/going? Using those -ing words is a great entry point into capturing life right now.
  • Tell the story of now by contrasting what's easy and what's hard.

This subscription is a great option for those who are looking to tell more calendar/everyday life sorts of stories.

INSPIRATION BY THE MONTH (DIGITAL STORIES BY THE MONTH)

Current and new subscribers can select + purchase Add-On's via your new drop-down menu access under your user name in the top right corner of the site: you need to do this before the 11th of the month in order for them to ship with your kit. Depending on product availability subscribers may be able to purchase the Add-On's after the Add-On period has ended and regular shop shipping rates will apply because they will ship separately from the kit.

ALPHAS ARE AWESOME

This stamp set is available to subscribers to add to their box during the Add On period and also offered in the shop for anyone else!

I'm super excited about these as alphas are my favorite kind of stamps!

Hi, the past several months I have noticed the quality of the SBTM stamps has been really bad. Starting with the November stamp through the most recent April stamp, the quality isn't there. The stamps are stuck to the plastic, the side of the packaging that doesn't have the black images. The stamps are very hard to get off of the plastic and I worry that I will rip them if I pull too hard. Also, the stamps themselves are not as sturdy/stiff as the stamps have been in the past. I am a longtime subscriber and Ali's stamps are all I use, so I noticed the decline in quality. I messaged CS and was told stamp production changed to be manufactured with the rest of the kit components. I understand the logistics would be better having all production in one place, but that shouldn't matter if the quality of the products decreases this much. AE products have always been such high quality products, and this was very discouraging to hear that the company has chosen this route for production at the cost of quality. Is anything being done to change/remedy this quality issue? I'm hopeful that going forward the SBTM stamps will be the better quality that long-time subscribers like myself are used to.

Hi there - are the new Alphas are Awesome stamps the thicker original quality? Or are they the thinner, new style? Thanks!

The Alphas Are Awesome are from a different vendor (same one as we have used previously).

I agree on the stamp issue. They stuck on the wrong side, dont peel up and dont really attach to the stamp block anymore. I had the same ones - or at least some that felt the same - from a cheep place, and they completly began to fell apart after 1 or 2 years. I´m worried that this might happen too to this stamps. I loved the quality before that. I hope this can be fixed.

Thank you for bringing this up. I, too, have been very disappointed in the recent change in the 3x4 stamps. I believe the OLW stamps are the same. They are almost unusable. I also messaged CS. I hope this is fixed because the quality of these stamps greatly reduces the value of the kits. Thanks for looking into it!

I think there might be an error Ali- you referred to this as the make story kit in your overview of the products and I also see one of the images on the story kit page as the plastic word MAKE in it. Might want to get that fixed! On another note, LOVE the colours of this kit!
