How to eat a kiwifuit.

Kiwi1

I was sitting here this morning eating a kiwi and thinking about how happy I was that I had seen how my friend Jeffrey eats kiwis. Before this I would have always tried to peel it (with a knife of course) - it was just too much trouble. I mentioned it to Chris - who is sitting behind me on the other computer - and he said, "now that is a blog post. Just think how many more people may be able to enjoy eating a kiwi."

Here's Jeffrey's recipe for success in eating a kiwi:

1. slice a bit off the top and the bottom

2. place the kiwi on a plate

3. use a spoon to dig in and enjoy

Kiwi2

No peeling, no mess. Pure kiwi fruit enjoyment.

Have a great Sunday - and WOW on all the awesome challenge posts over the last couple of days. Love how you guys worked those stamps!

We eat the kiwis with a spoon, a mocha size spoon, much easier than peeling! Our favourite kiwi is the golden kiwi, so sweet and yummy!

I cut mine in half and eat each half by scooping out the fruit with a spoon. Works for me!

Save yourself a lot of time and just eat the peel! I was very sceptical when a girlfriend suggested this to me, but it's great. Cut it up and go for it!!

What a flashback! I worked in a Produce dept. of a grocery store for 14 years...they showed us once how to do this...yes it truly is much easier to eat them this way.

I cut mine in half too!
But if I am making a little fruit salad I peel the skin off with my potatoe peeler. It takes no time at all and I don't waste any kiwi fruit.

THANKS!! I was just thinking about this yesterday as I peeled a couple for my kids. I peel then dice and serve with a tooth pick. But this is much better. I will serve them this way tomorrow. Now I know the right way, THANKS!

When we buy our Kiwi fruit at the supermarket, they come with a little green spoon-knife!!
The little plastic knife part is to chop it in half and the little plastic spoon part is to scoop out the fruit :)

If you have a serrated grapefruit spoon, try that...it makes it even easier! Cut kiwifruit in half and scrape it all out! Anat
