How to eat a kiwifuit.

Kiwi1

I was sitting here this morning eating a kiwi and thinking about how happy I was that I had seen how my friend Jeffrey eats kiwis. Before this I would have always tried to peel it (with a knife of course) - it was just too much trouble. I mentioned it to Chris - who is sitting behind me on the other computer - and he said, "now that is a blog post. Just think how many more people may be able to enjoy eating a kiwi."

Here's Jeffrey's recipe for success in eating a kiwi:

1. slice a bit off the top and the bottom

2. place the kiwi on a plate

3. use a spoon to dig in and enjoy

Kiwi2

No peeling, no mess. Pure kiwi fruit enjoyment.

Have a great Sunday - and WOW on all the awesome challenge posts over the last couple of days. Love how you guys worked those stamps!

have to admit, i don't think i've ever eaten a kiwi...on another note - forget to mention that the gilda radner quote is perfect for things that have been going on for the edwards family, with the recent election and all...nice choice!

Well I think I will eat more Kiwi from now on. I never liked peeling the skin off as most of the fruit went with it. I would have never ever thought of eating a Kiwi this way.

HAHA I thought everyone ate their kiwi like that. Only I cut mine in half - makes 2 little bowls to scoop from. Only time I've attempted to peel a kiwi is when I make fruit pizza. They sure can be messy! :)

Just another reason to look to you for inspiration...have always loved the kiwifruit....have sliced it and cut the skin off a layer at the time. Not unlike I do to paper and stamps sometimes...
So -- needless to say -- I will continue to read the blog -- who knows what other life changing things may come along!
Congrats to Chris btw....happy for you both.

Usually I cut the kiwi in half and hold the half in my hand and eat it with a tea spoon. Do you have also the yellow kiwi's in the USA? They taste even better (sweeter) than the green ones.
Thanks for sharing though! I thought everybody already knew how to eat a kiwi. I think you helped a lot of people.

yea, I did the same thing for so many years - tried to cut the kiwifruit... then our local grocery store had those plastic spoons some people above talked about....too funny how little things like this bring us together :) I took a picture of my cute kiwifruit spoons, my kids love 'em. Not sure if I linked correctly

OMG this is hilarious! I didn't know there was any other way. But my kids have this metal gerber baby spoon that is the absolute perfect thing for them to eat their kiwis with. So there's my tip for kids eating kiwi!
Now, I just bought my first avocado. I tried a bite at a friends the other night. I wish I had watched her cut it. Care to give instruction on that one?!?!
If not, at least I have google!
