The AEzine...
will be coming later today. Having an issue with the email program I use and I am getting ready to get on a plane heading East - need to make a call to customer service a bit later this morning.
In the mean time, start thinking about essentials.
And, another update, the weather did not cooperate yesterday so the reception with the Governor was postponed until next week.
Happy Wednesday.
can't wait - love the AEzine!!

Ali, I love the picture in your last post. We have a long hallway in our house and we use it to play "bucket ball." Take one galvanized bucket, a couple small balls and try to get the ball in the bucket. The girls love that game and could play for hours. I never thought to take a picture of it, so thanks for the idea!

good timing on this one, ali. we're packing up the house to move and i've been going through my stuff trying to decide what i "need". i think i'm going to rid myself of all this extra cardstock that doesn't get used. thanks for making your list - it's helping me purge all the extras.

Ali, you are so funny putting life #8! It was my first thought when I read your intro! Of course perhaps your essentials are not in numerical order! :) This is a good "assignment/challenge" for me, my word being balance!
Ican't wait until Monday either (partly because on Monday I couldn't figure out how to post my comment to the word -- I also Googled mine for images and the first images were all scales! (Twilight Zone theme song here -- scales of justice -- I'm a lawyer).
1. Family/Home/Safe Place
2. Fine point black pen
3. Notebook for thoughts/sketches/ideas
4. SU! Cardstock -- I love the Bazzill texture, but not if I have to write on it with my fine point black pen! :)
5. Camera for photos
6. Favorite adhesive
7. Paper trimmer (with ruler on it)
8. Pencil
9. Alphabet stamps -- good catch Ali!
10. Black ink pad
11. Patterned paper -- can't choose right now.
Odd number for balance.

My word is "transparent" -- for a couple of reasons. One... I am now the mother of a just-past-one year old and am continually "trans"forming into a "parent" of meaning each day. More importantly though, I believe that we live to be in relationship with each other; that was God's purpose for our creation -- to be in relationship with Him and others -- and in doing so, we are called to authenticity and integrity. My motto lately has been "transparency breeds trust" -- that is, if I am who I am, and people can count on me being consistently me, then when I am transparent, people can develop a trust in me, which strengthens a relationship.
Ultimately, I desire to be completely transparent with God -- yes, He sees it all anyway, but when I, in an act of incarnational speech, name the truth about myself, I come that much closer to knowing and experiencing the love of God in all His fulness.

Ali,
You mentioned a square punch just over 2X2.
Is that the acutally size. I bought a square punch and its said up to 2inch when
acutally its was on 1 3/8. I was disappointed. Do you know what brand of punch that I can find that would give me largest square?
Sincerely,
Monica
