December Daily : Day Seven

And a couple notes:

1. There were a few questions the other day about whether I liked working in this format/using this process. I put the “bones” of this album together months ago and am now simply filling it in with our daily stories and adventures. I have to say that I am really liking this. It is not complicated. It takes so much less time each day than if I was putting each page together each day. I love having the basic foundation already set-up. Highly recommend trying this sometime (could still do the 12-days of Christmas).

2. The dipped pretzels in the photo from yesterday were sent to us from our friend Tim. You could ask him about them here. Beware: they are really, really good. Sweet + salty is amazing.

3. Loved the movie we saw last night. Nice feel-good family movie. One of my favorite scenes was the “conversation” between Eric (the main boy) and Jason Bateman’s character. To create a page for my Daily album I went to the website, downloaded one of the screensavers, resized it in Photoshop and printed.

4. When the movie was over it was the perfect opportunity to go see Santa (we were already at the mall). No line (about 6:30pm on Friday night). Happy Santa. Happy Simon. He was super excited, we got all choked up…and so it goes. Such a nice night for the Edwards’.

I just love this album, I check in everyday just to see the new and different way you use some really cool everyday items along with the newest scrap trends.
Could you please tell me what white marker or pen you are using on your photos? I know you have posted it before, but I have lost my notes. I have yet to find one that works this well.

We saw this movie with one of the twin’s Tiger Cub scout troop and I cried through most of it! I LOVED it and the kids did too! What a wonderful movie for the children (and the adults who needed a wonderful movie to make them rethink the magic!)
Love your album! Definitely gonna get something like that put together!

I love this entry. Super cute photo of the two S’s (Simon and Santa) :)

The photo of Simon sitting on Santa’s lap is so sweet. I love how innocent and filled with wonder he looks. Now that my boys are grown, I pull out all of the old photos taken with Santa and I really feel sad about the ones we missed. Your acrylic Christmas album is really so beautiful and fun. You are unique and I am drawn to your classic, uncluttered style. I agree with those who find your blog uplifting. Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays to you, Chris and Simon!

I have a huge favor to an owner of a D-reeves 8×8 acrylic album.I am ordering the album but until it gets here, is there anyone who has it and can scan it so I see where the holes go and can start cutting my pictures and making the album.
    Thank you.

Such a cute picture of Simon and Santa. This was our first year too that my son Vince (7 years old with autism) was able to go to Santa! No line for us on a Sat. night – I’m sure that helped. Vince even told Santa what he wanted (and Santa even understood him!). Such a milestone. Congrats to you, Chris and Simon!
