The words.
Went through all the comments from the last few days tonight and collected all the words. Reading your words + your reasons were uplifting + inspiring. Thank you for sharing. If I missed your word leave a note in the comments section and I will add it to this list.
And there is always time to choose a word if you have not done so yet.

Love this list!
I have come to the conclusion that my word for 2008 will be "up".
:)

I chose a word. It it exactly what I need but I haven't blogged it or posted it.. because.. i think it could be seen as a negative word.
So I was thrilled to see NO on your list. No is my word and I look forward to the benefits it will bring me, and my family in 2008.

Hi Ali, thank you for inspiring me to do a blog, I may have to kick myself in the butt to get scrapbooking now.
My word is TEACH - I need to teach myself to learn new things such as technology. I have already started by teaching myself around blogging. 'Teach' in all aspects of my life. Teach myself new ways of doing things, teach my children, teach my students, teach each other.

Hey!
I am a French Scrapbook girl who've just discovered your universe and who enjoys reading your blog. I am addicted I think! Your world is shiny, witty, yummy... I just love it! I think my word might be "imagination" as I am a beginner in scrapbooking, and my imagination seems to bloom again after years of sleep!
Thanks for your blog anyway!

Hi Ali,
My word for this year is SPACE... I did a lot of 'exploring' last year (that was my word for 2007) and now I hope to enjoy the SPACE I've created then... SPACE for me to grow as a person (and as a wife and mother, SPACE to enjoy my hobby and my new studioSPACE, SPACE to enjoy being a family...
I'm planning to make some artwork today to display my word, so maybe I'll be back later today to share that with you!
Have a wonderfull 2008, you and your family!!

Hi Ali, thanks for sharing the list!
I had not left a comment yet about my word. Like last year it needed some time. Because when i choose a word it seems to be about what i want. And if i think about it a little longer i realize what i really need. My first thought was "freedom". But in order to sense freedom i personally need "TRUST". Trust in life, in myself, in the future, and so on... so TRUST it is for me this year!
Have a really good year Ali!

Love, love, love that list...so inspiring and energizing! I've finished the cover to my "Thrive" journal and now I just have to do the blog post. Good luck to all with their plans/wishes/hopes/dreams for 2008!

This is such an great idea!!
My word this year, will be "continue".
I will continue the good I have started, I will continue to try and I will continue to love myself even when I fail.

Fabulous is missing Ali!! - I figured if I want this year to be ace I need to start postively, and finding the FABULOUS in things might be a cool way to go about it!
Cheers,

my word is 'stand'.
this year, after finding truth in god's word, i am chosing 'stand' as my inner strength to act on my knew found hope. standing for something - so i wont fall
standing my ground...

My word for 2008 is "STORY". I want to focus on the story/stories in my scrapbooking pages this year, to really make meaningful pages that focus on the story. My goal is to do one LO a week and I've already started to compile a "must-do" list.
Thank you for the inspiration Ali!

Ali - So cool.
I didn't get a chance to add my word before ... PACE. To remind me to pace myself, so close to both Peace and Space.

My word is RELEASE...last year it was embrace---embrace me, embrace imperfections, embrace what life has to offer---
this year, release- let it go---don't think so much- just be.
it will be a challenge but i am up for it.
thank you ali for your blog and for putting all these good vibes into the world.

hi Ali :)
my word is also HOPE. It's such a little word, and at the moment, I have such a little hope. You see, my darling husband of 20+ years was killed in an accident last May, and I am only now starting to see feel that there is a little bit of HOPE for me. It's a very hard road, but the little bit of hope in my heart is all I have to carry me through. This little bit of hope gives me strength each day, and I find the courage to face another day without him. I will cling to this small speck of hope, and cherish it, burture it, and trust it will grow and help me to be healed one day. I am ordering some large wooden letters and will decorate them and put on the kitchen window sill, to keep my hope right there in plain view.
