My daughter looks and acts so much like her father. For Father's day I made a mini book to honor that. Included were special pics of her doing things just like DaDa.

My favorite mini-album is an annual project now where each mother's day I create three identical mini-books about the last year for my son and give them to my mother, mother-in-law, and myself for mother's day. They are short, sweet and perfect for them to have around as a brag book or just to keep the little guy close.

My favorite mini book that I have made is the one of all of my son's 3 year professional pictures. It is great to have them all in one place instead of having tons of 12x12 pages in his 3 year scrap book with all these pictures.

My favorite mini book made are the only two I have completed so far.
The first was a mini book made using Target baby coupons (from registry). They had wonderful circles on the back and I added cardstock to the coupon side and cut all the photos into circles and added. Embelished with buttons and it was done. I wish I had scanned it as it was a gift.
My second was a very simple year in rev iew for the grandparents. I just grabbed patterned paper - made pages, used a chipboard cover and used lots of ribbon staples to the edges.
I need to remember that simple is key and they looked great....need to do more and let go of perfectionism and perfect planning! It's all about balance - which by the way is my word for the year....I only just discovered that is what it was this past week...so it might be a end of this year word into next...or who says my year needs to start in Jan...
Such revelations this morning...thanks! What a great way to start a new week and day!

Cant't wait to get my own copy of your latest book!
I'm working with MiniBook project called "life's alphabets". For every letter I'm writing about what's important to me and taking a picture about it. For Excample C is for Coca-Cola 'cause my morning won't start without a glass...

I'm planning a mini book devoted to those photos that I have collected that I just LOVE, but don't really inspire scrapbook pages.

I have been waiting to buy your new book...LOVE mini albums!!!!
I have made several that i love, but one I made 2 years ago is still my favorite...it's a 10 year anniversary book i made for my DH! It has our story of how we met and pictures of just us over the years! (I'm also finally working on our wedding album (almost 12 years later!) which is a 7x7, but i'm getting it done!)
But one i'm looking forward to finishing is my travel book from when my mom, sister, her son and my son and i went on a trip to Ohio to see where we used to live and reminisce...it wa so much fun, i just hope that it comes out how i picture it!
    Thanks for the giveaway Ali!

I'm currently working on a minibook using a letter album for my MIL for her birthday. It's the "FAMILY" album and chocked full of photos of her and my kids, her and her husband, her and my husband (her son), etc. I'm really loving how it is turning out. :)

Hey Ali: I've completed one mini book thus far. It was about our family vacation to Texas last summer. I have your 3 previous books and I'm looking forward to your new book. I LOVE your style and enjoy reading your blog, always full of great ideas and packed with inspiration. Thanks so much and I'm soooo happy for you and your family regarding the baby news. Take Care, Kim

I love mini albums, but I have gotten away from them lately. I have been thinking of a summer themed one that I think I should start on right now!

I loved working on your Evolution Album track which really got me digging out those old photos from my youth which I might not have scrapped and started to open a whole new area of scrapping. As if I needed any encouragement. I just completed a mini album of a trip to Honduras where I re-connected with a young man I had hosted when he came to school in the US 15 years ago. I took my 77 year old Dad with me. It was a great story! So glad I got to record some of the moments. I even bought my Dad a small notebook to journal in during the trip too.

Can't wait for your new book. My husband and I are going to San Francisco & Napa in two weeks; I'm gathering ideas and journaling tools for a mini book that I can start when I get home. We've never been to that area of California and really looking forward to it. Thanks for all the inspiration this weekend and congrats on your new family addition.

I would like to make a mini book about my garden, especially since fall is coming and everything will be covered with snow before we know it :)

    Hi Ali,
My favorite mini is an ABC album I made for our family shortly after I started scrapping, and to look at it now, you'd see I've come a long way. They still love to look through that little album, it's full of so many memories.

I enjoy making mini albums - one I have planned is going to be about nature and showcase some of my many nature shots and then put it in a spot where people can browse through it.

I just went to a class yesterday on "acrylic books" and just love them! I am going to do several mini acrylic books for several different projects, i.e. summer fun at the pool, tutoring girls, best friends, etc. I think it will be neat to have little mini books to show off certain areas in our lives right now. AND I HOPE I WIN THIS BOOK! :)
    Love,
    Karmen

My favorite minibook hasn't been made yet. After a trip to the zoo this weekend my boyfriend, who usually teases me (lovingly!) about my scrapbooking, is actually excited to see a book put together with the photos! He has ideas for the paper we'll use even! Can't wait to get the pictures back and start working...with his help!

I'm currently writing/designing a project called 'when you were small', including unique memories from my daughter's first two years, when she was the only child.
Things like "we would rush to the monitor to hear you talk yourself to sleep" and "you became content as I sang along to Ella Fitzgerald in the dark of night."
Photos are an afterthought in this one.

I am planning to create my first mini-book about a recent getaway to the North Sea. When sorting through the photos yesterday, I stumbled across a picture that hadn't really stood out the times I had looked at the photos before, but now unfolded the whole atmosphere of the weekend in one single moment. It just keeps popping up in my mind while I'm back to this daily grind and reminds me of everything good … not just the weekend, but the power of letting go to clear one's mind in general. I'd love to see some inspiration for this project, especially as it's my first try.
    Greetings from Germany,
    Johanna

I do a lot of mini-books since they seem the quickest and most effective way to keep track of special events when you've got a busy life and not a lot of time to scrap. I really like the last one I made for my sister and brother-in-law, with the pictures taken when they came to visit us in Brussels (my family is originally from France). Thanks for this opportunity to win your last book; Life Artist is still my favorite book of reference for scrapbooking but maybe this is about to change ;)

    Looking forward to this book...
I have the supplies ready to go for a mini book about some of my childhood stuffed animals that I found in my mom's attic this past summer. After being in the attic for 20+ years, they were in no condition to take home, but it was fun to touch them again, laugh about them and jot down some memories about each one as I snapped a picture of them.
