Week in the Life : sharing samples + giveaway
Hoping to have some embellished rectangles to share with you tomorrow. In the meantime I have been getting a bunch of different samples from people participating this week. I love to see the variety and how everyone is making it work for themselves, their story, their photos, their time.
Feel free to keep sending them my way as you get a chance to work on your album/layout/project. See below for today's giveaway.
Also, I answered most questions in the comments section yesterday. If you asked a question check there for your answer.

As I've had a complicated recovery from hip surgery, I find it difficult on some days to find something positive to say...but early this AM I decided today was the day I follow "The Secret" philosophy and bring positivity and health and recovery into my life. I'm now, as of today, open to the universe's energy for recovery and health and ability to get back to my daily life of caring for my family and practicing my art. That, is a GOOD thing! Thanks for this great exercise....I needed it.

It has been a good day...It is pouring rain...the kind where staying in with a cuppa tea and a book is always a good thing....I on the other hand got to spend a couple of hours at the pioneer museum in town as a parent volunteer for my 6 yr olds field trip. How many times can you say don't touch????...so far it has been a great day....in a few hours I will be colouring star wars pics we have drawn and eating home made meat pie...it does nto get any better than that!

We have been blessed with a gorgeous day here in Maine. In October, that is something to be thankful about with winter right around the corner!

After nearly being late to work and not having time for breakfast, a co-worker provided an iced non-fat latte from Starbucks and homemade pumpkin muffins, plus a card of friendship "just because." Just the jump-start that my behind-from-the-beginning day needed .. The rest of the day's stresses have been easier to handle as a result of her random acts of kindness. Would love to win these stamps, but if not, I already have something special that must be journaled.
And your blog, Ali, as well as your books (just got the mini book one!) and creative ideas shared here are inspiring every day of the week. Thanks so much!

Something good today: I was walking around campus and noticed one of my housemates sitting outside on a bench next to the library. Amid the beautiful fall trees and people rushing to and from classes, she sat there peacefully reading a book and smiling to herself. It warmed my heart to see such a serene scene despite the chaos and stress carried by everyone around her -- so much so that I didn't dare interrupt her. Instead, I was able to carry that peace with me through the day.

Today I woke up with pretty bad back spasms, but the ibuprofen is finally doing its work.
AND best of all, yesterday was our 13th wedding anniversary, and my in-laws' 41st anniversary, and tonight we've planned an impromptu dinner together. I really LOVE my in-laws so I am really looking forward to it. A nice way to end a day that started out not-so-great!

My 15 month old randomly slam dunked his snack trapper cup into the sink today when he decided he was finished. It is the first day he didn't just throw it over the baby gate towards the trash can! It was unexpected, very difficult for him to do since he can't even see the sink, and it was definitely good. He even clapped for himself.

Ali,
Hi! I love those stamps! They sure would come in handy.
My favorite thing about today is that it has been pouring rain all day. I work from home and my daughter is out of school for fall break so we did not have to get out at all today. And, also my daughter's football game was canceled tonight because of the rain (She is a cheerleader.) so we don't have to get out tonight either. We are nice and cozy inside. Although, I did take my car to check the mail (I have a long driveway.) but that doesn't count! haha!
Thanks,
Rhonda :-)

my Bible says ....
"All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
..psalm 139
It's it cool... God loves us so much he 'scrapbooks' our times. Even before they happen...and He hand picks each day for us..
How could it be a bad day?

What cool stamps! So, the good thing about my day is that even though I'm home sick with a bad cold, I got to take a 3 hour nap. It's been forever since I've taken a nap. :-)

Today was wonderful because I started back to work now that my kids are in school. They are working with my schedule so I can still pick them up and be with them when school lets out.

Thanks for all the inspiration. My biggest regret from last week is not writing down more each day. I only wrote down something twice...but I am grateful for the snapshots of every day.
Good thing today: the weather is beyond perfect and my dining table is finally clear (after doing the dreaded seasonal clothing exchange for my 3 sons).
Question: do you imagine adding additional weeks in the life to your album from different times in your life? Or is your album going to hold just those 14 layouts?

I love Wednesdays because I get together with many other women who want to live better lives and be closer to God. I love my Bible Study!
