Christmas Art Journal.

Feeling a bit better today - thanks for all the kind thoughts.

One of my favorite parts about the holidays last year was participating in Shimelle's Christmas Art Journal Class. Even though I didn't finish it last year, I love how it connected me daily to the holiday season in an artful and reflective way. I love that it gave me something to focus on and pushed me to try new things.

Here is one sample page I completed last year:

Christmasartjournal_day8_1

The rest of my pages from last year are located in my Art Journal folder to the right.

I highly recommend this experience. No pressure. Just good prompts and lots of sharing with others on the same journey. Not sure yet if I am going to have a chance to participate this year - December is shaping up to be pretty busy for us with a couple weekend workshops, a vacation, and hopefully a move into a new house. If my new house gets decorated I will consider that a huge accomplishment.

AND...if you leave a comment on here between now and 5pm Pacific today (my time) you will be entered into a drawing to take the class for free. Shimelle gave me two spots to give away - so make sure to leave your name in the comments. I will draw two names later tonight or tomorrow.

I did this last year & I LOVED it... I went back & read it the other day... my grandmother passed away in July.. and so everything that was in my journal was with her in the present tense... it brought up a lot of emotions.. good & sad.. and thankful that I did this...

Hope you feel much better soon - you should drink some Echinacea Tea - that is great for chasing away the greebies.
