Clear Scraps Giveaway

Clearscraps

Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:

6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)

Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:

Easter1

Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?

Easter2

For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).

Easter3

Easter4

[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]

I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

i've been putting of my wedding album. only because i started scrapbooking 2 years afterwards. i have about 8 of pages completed and paper, album, etc. but now my style has changed and instead of making it all matchy, matchy (like i had planned) i want to add in different colors, etc...i guess i haven't gone forward b/c i just can't figure out how to mix the old pages with the new to make one seamless album.
wow- that was a long explanation...
    love your giveaways!

Hi, Ali. I've been putting off doing an albumn of my son's two-year journey through breaking his back, surgery and recovery. This happened during his 14th-16th years (he's 17 now). He was in incredible pain that effected every aspect of his life. While it was a struggle physically, mentally is was even more of a challenge for him. We literally watched as he determined to persevere, then overcome, then soar. We are so proud of him, and I am eager to put that story in our family library. Yet, it was painful and frightening and frustrating, and those memories are tough to re-live.

My parents. My dad died when I was 6 and I don't have a single photo of my parents together - they had no wedding photos taken (it was during WW2 in Great Britain) and I can't find any from later years. I have photos (not many) of them separately, but I'm just daunted at the thought of doing something so important (to me) and not doing a good enough job.
    Love those acrylics albums!

My Grandmother passed away over a year ago. I gave the eulogy at her funeral and I wouldn't change a word of it if I were to rewrite it today. I want to create a layout with those words as the journaling. I just can't seem to jump in and create a layout that I think will honor her memory and reflect the vision I have for this project. I think I have put too much pressure on myself to make this special layout "perfect".

I've been putting off my baby boy's 1st year album. Too many cute photos to choose from! I probably took more than 80 photos a day when I was on maternity leave during his first year. Gotta love digital cams! Which is why i've put it off. =)

I'm putting off finishing the last of my pictures from my second year of college, even though my third is about to begin! It was definitely the better of the two years I spent here, and I was sad when it ended!

Hmmm... not sure if I made the deadline, but I've been putting off my new son's baby album. He is almost 5 months and even though I've completed many pages of him, I haven't done a "baby album" type book. Speaking of baby, CONGRATS! Cant wait to see your baby projects!

I've been putting off our wedding album for nearly 16 years now...maybe it's because it is hard to scrap the whole album in pink and teal from the early 90's! lol
Maybe I should just convert my pics to black and white and make it easier to scrap!
    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

I've been putting off the mini book I wanted to do of my 50th B-day - it's almost like if I put it down in a book, I'm really 50! Right now I can pretend I'm not!! Great giveaway - thanks for the chance.

I have put off everything! Scrapbooking, photography, you name it. I lost my desire for it but it is starting to come back and your site is helping me get that mojo back. You always come up with unique ideas and I am thankful that it appears that you never loose your mojo.

what have I been putting off???This may sound weird, but in May my niece got married. I was her wedding planner and it was a wonderful weekend event. I made a small book to remember it by and then gave it away to my mom. I made a second book, and gave it away to the bride's mom. Now I am making a BIG wedding album for my nice. So the project that I am acutally putting off is my own memory book of the wedding and I'm not sure if I will actually get around to it since 3 books of one wedding are a lot already!
