Clear Scraps Giveaway

Clearscraps

Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:

6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)

Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:

Easter1

Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?

Easter2

For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).

Easter3

Easter4

[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]

I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Unfinished projects?? I am the queen of unfinished projects! The one that bugs me the most is my "everything is done, it's all in one box, just needs to be assembled" album from A Week in the Life class you taught back in the spring or early summer of '06 or '05-either at Nashville or Atl! Part of the reason is that I never acted on getting the box album that it is supposed to be stored in. I still have the binder we used in class. (Lame excuse, huh?) Another reason is I feel I need to work on more current things when I do have the opportunity to scrap. I know, I know--just jump in and get 'r done!

I seem to see a pattern with the wedding albums - LOL Man it would be neat to have a wedding scrapbook day! And just do it! It'd be neat to see examples as well - I haven't seen too many examples that go with my own style.

Ali, that album is great! I love the way you incorporated the paint! I have been putting off getting my photos from a day in Boston printed and scrapped. I think I want to do a mini album, but I haven't decided which album, so I don't know what size to have printed and the photos are great, so I really want to be able to use them! One of these acrylic albums would be perfect, actually!

I have 2 that I have been putting off. Finishing my Summer Journal and My Son's Wedding Album...Why? Now that's a good question. Too Busy, and I want the Wedding album to be just right, also my MOJO goes away every time I set down to work on them

Lovely album Ali! I love the painting & all the little details.I have a few projects in line for September. One is a mini album for my daughter and the others my Christmas projects (altered cans, gift bags & cards) plus a few LOs that are still unfinished. I haven't had the chance to finish any of them yet because of all the responsibilities I have to attend to. There's the business, the cooking, house chores, running after my 20 month old daughter, some paper work & inventories to be done. Whew! I think I need a vacation! Even if I want to do more scrapping & craft projects, I barely have the time & energy to do so. Hopefully next week will be less hectic and my birthday is coming up soon too! So I guess I really need a break & pamper myself a bit. :)

I've been putting off making a wedding mini album for my sister. Mini's intimidate me. I can never seem to find a cohesive theme to carry though from page to page without actually making them each look exactly the same. So this price would be a definite jumpstart in getting that finished by Xmas for her! haha

the project that is on my mind more often than not is my 18x18 martha stewart album. i have NO idea why but i absolutely love it, it allows me to use different techniques and experiment with more paper, ribbons, embellishment, etc. actually playing around with this album is when i really learned how to incorporate ribbon into scrapbooking and now i'm ADDICTED! i would love to have the time to get back into it!

I'm not putting off starting, but putting off finishing. I have a travel album I started after my trip to Bermuda last October and being out of that vacation blissful mode, I just don't feel like looking at it. Maybe after my next vacation, I'll finish this album. (I've started and finished probably 5 mini albums since I started this one. I don't know what the issue is.)
They look like some great albums though! I love the yellow on your Easter album.

I am a huge mini album person and love albums with themes........but I've been putting off my son's baby album......I think it's because he is my only child (after the loss of my first child during pregnancy) and I want it to be perfect. I have everything together and organized....I'm just afraid to finalize it.

Love these!! Very cool....I have putting off doing an album of my 3 girls artwork. I have it saved up from when my oldest (who is now 14) picked up her first crayon. I only keep the super cute and meaningful ones (not every scrap any of them colored on). It is a project I really would love to have in an album to see their journeys of art!

I've been putting away doing my wedding album. I'm scared to scrapbook my wedding pictures, because I'm afraid of the result. Those are my most inmportant pictures!

When she moved a couple of years ago, my mother-in-law found a box of family photos her mother had. The photos and documents date back to the late 1800's. I've been intending to copy the photos and make albums for my mother-in-law, her sister, my brother-in-law & my husband. (The originals to be stored in archival safe boxes.) But, I just can't seem to come up with a design for the album I like and will be easy to reproduce. I think part of the stumbling block is that my in-laws are very picky, and I really want to impress them.

I have been putting over a Sisters album that I truly want to do for each of my sisters ...finally got all the old photos sorted and with the passing of our brother, I feel the need to get this done and in their hands. I WANT to do it...but I think I am avoiding the emotions that will come with it.

I have been putting off completing the album you did in Chicago at Windy City Scrapbooking...bought the kit, couldn't get into the class :(
I assembled it right away in hopes that I'd be on top of things...titled it August '08 and took notes of my days...
Now it sits here with a few completed pages. But life just gets in the way sometimes and my family has to come first and I want it that way...but I swear I will finish it!

These are gorgeous! I've been putting off scrapbooking our trip to the Grand Canyon. I did a thank you book for my MIL, but I've not done anything with my trip report or the ephemera I gathered. It's a lot of stuff!

I want to do a album with pictures of just me and my husband to remind us how we began. With two kiddos and a busy work schedule, I think it will be a nice reminder of the foundation of our family -- just him and I. I think a clear album would be really pretty for that! Thanks, Ali, for your wonderful website! I find lots of inspiration from it!

I started putting together a "baby's first year" book for my girlfriend. I only have 3 months done and the baby is now 3 months old! I really need to finish it, but I'm feeling overwhelmed by it. I know I need to just dive in and get my hands into it again, I just keep finding other things to work on!

A project I have been putting off is finishing up an album from a family trip to Disney in 2006! I waited too long and now the stories and memories are fading...and I'm not as inspired about the trip. I have learned and now try to at least write down the memories soon after and tuck them away for when I have time to scrap them!
