Clear Scraps Giveaway

Clearscraps

Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:

6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)

Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:

Easter1

Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?

Easter2

For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).

Easter3

Easter4

[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]

I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

A year ago September, my mom turned 60. I love making small event albums. This time it is harder, I haven't even started. I usually get the pictures developed the day after and get going. This time I think it is harder because I chose an album with an odd size, 6 1/2 X 12. I was very excited, but now I am intimidated...hopefully soon I will get started, I am running out of current things to scrap...
    Thanks for the continued inspiration...

I have been putting off finishing the "A Week In The Life" album I started with you--almost THREE years ago. It is almost done, but I never quite finished it, and I really want to. I must put that at the top of the list, as I so love what I've done so far.

Sadly, I have put off making a scrapbook for my in-laws. They will have been married for forty years in Oct. WOW- how do you capture that kind of dedication? I think that is holding me back!

I've been putting off an album of my parents trip to Italy last March. It'll more than likely be there one and only trip to Europe and they were celebrating their 30th year of marriage. Plus they have so many beautiful photos and visited many cities - so I think I'm putting pressure on myself to make it perfect. And in doing that, I'm delaying the process!

I have 3 children and for some reason I have been putting off doing their school books. I have collected paper and even the albums but have not begun to put them together. maybe I am afraid to see how much they have grown (and I have aged!!). Maybe I just want them to be great because I know they will love these for years to come and my grandchildren will be looking at them!

I have been putting off my "All About Me" album - I seem to be more pre-occupied with scrapping all about my children :-P I do realise that I really should get stuck into it as if anything ever happens to me I'd like them to know what I liked to do when I was growing up, what my favourite hobby was, where I went to school, what my first job was in High School etc.
Ah yes - tomorrow I promise LOL

I have been putting off our Hawaii vacation. I can't decide if I want to journal about the places, the people, or our experience (what it meant to us. Each is a large story in and of itself that I think putting in one album would be overwhelming.

I have been putting off a number of albums that are "almost" done. Either a bit of journaling is on a sticky note but not on the page, or one page is one thing away from done. I think it's because I enjoy starting the new pags. I'm now trying to completely finish a page before moving on. So one of these saturdays i will have a "finish the page day!"

I've keep putting off working on an album for our summer vacation. I took 300+ pictures and the thought of going through them all and deciding which ones to use gives me a headache!

I've been putting off a double 12x12 spread.I have three children and want to chronical just one photo of each child at each age, so I'll have a lttle column of everyone justborn, everyone at 1 year and so on. What is delaying me is the time to go through my photos and pull out the ones I want. Once I am "caught up" I will then simply need to add one photo of each child each year to this ongoing project. I want to see how similar and different they are on the one spread.
Thank you for the chance to enter into your giveaway Ali. I have just read your new book "sharing your story" and am feeling totally inspired by you and your team.

What haven't I been putting off? The main thing I have been putting off is my baseball album for all the ballparks I have been to. I want it to be perfect so that has hindered me from starting it.

I have put off scrapbooking my son's baby pictures. My son has Autism he was diagnosed at 2(now 4) and it gets very emotional for me to look at his baby pictures it's hard to look at that beautiful baby that didn't have Autism and then to see what my son goes through right now in his daily life.I love my little Dude with all my heart so I hope to get to the point where I am able to scrap those picture soon. For now I scrap the present pictures of him and the rest of the fam.

I have been putting off my AAM Album. Sometimes (= most of the time) my family members seem to be more important.
Have to think it over, I guess.
Maybe its a good idea to start all over again with a clear album, entitled "clearly me" or so :)
    Thank you,
    Anne

I have signed up for a 2009 calendar swap with a group of friends. So far I have completed two pages but still have ten to go but I am struggling because I think I am trying too hard to make each page special.

I need to do some mini-albums that are quick way to display our lives and capture some of those memories. Great question. Jess

I've been putting off a layout on our trip to Toronto. It was scheduled for the weekend after September 11 (2001) and subsequently put off for a month afterwards. I was a witness to 9/11 in D.C., and I want to tell that part of the story in the layout since it affected the trip. BUT, I still feel sick every time I think about it, so I keep putting it off. I have the pictures saving the place in my album, and I flip to it often but can't focus on the journaling enough to get going.

Moving is always a good excuse for putting something off, and seeing as how I just moved a couple weeks ago that is the dilemma I am in. My grandma wrote in a journal every single day from the time I was born (25 years ago) until she was no longer able to write. She passed away last year and I have just started reading them, the first one dating 1983. I want to come up with a project that takes what she wrote about and puts it into a visual form. I was thinking about possibly a minibook for each year or ATC's for each theme/subject. These clear albums would be perfect. I think the other reason I haven't started is because I want something worthy of holding this amazing material. Thanks for the giveaway :)

I am so far behind it's not even funny...I have been putting off my vacation album I think because I'm not sure shere to start! I just finished my wedding album (which took me over 3 years), but it is huge, and I don't want to make the same mistake with other albums...Anyways...That's mine, plus many, many, more

I've been putting off a childhood family album. I have a lot of the supplies I need -- I just don't want to do it wrong. My biggest fear is letting the layout overshadow the beauty of the photos! Plus, there's so much journaling to do! I've been in a time crunch lately, so the thought of a project that big -- and important -- scares me!

I've not yet been able to put together a book about the lose of our little one three and a half years ago. I have bought paper, embellishments, ribbons but alas nothing has been created. I found my stash of goodies over the weekend and started planning how to go about this album. I am at peace and feel that now is the time to tackle this project.

I have been putting off a couple of things to work on my life album. I've only completes 3 pages of my wedding album, and I want to do an album for my husband. I'm not sure of the format or size I want to use for his, so I'm keep putting it off. My life album has been helping me through some personal issues, I have been setting goals, I just recently started college, b/c I came to terms with what I was unhappy about. Not furthering my education. I think I want to become an art therapist, and scrapping is why!
your very inspirational to me, by the way. Congrats on the new baby :)
