Clear Scraps Giveaway

Clearscraps

Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:

6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)

Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:

Easter1

Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?

Easter2

For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).

Easter3

Easter4

[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]

I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

There are so many things I'd like to do and have ideas for. I should make a list! Wedding, birthdays, mini album about my mom, about our house, about our first house... the list just goes on and on. I've only been scrapping for 2 years, so I've got 16+ years worth of photos to catch up on! Thanks for the giveaway! :)

I have been putting off my pregnancy/NICU album for over a year now - I started it, and now it's just sitting there with a stack of memorabillia. I have so many stories swirling in my head, and I really feel like I need to get them down on paper before I'm really at peace with them. I had a very difficult pregnancy and our son was born very prematurely. Happily, he's a very healthy little boy today despite the many issues he previously encountered.
A "normal" pregnancy is kind of a loss I need to mourn and I really think that album would help...
Thanks for making me think of it again - and for the amazing giveaway!

I agreed to create a wedding album for my brother-in-law as a wedding gift...totally putting it off b/c it's going to take a lot of time and energy and in the end...I don't even get to keep it to look at.
I'm feeling lucky today though...hopefully I win... motivating me to start on their album.

I would love these acrylic albums! I am putting off finishing a book I am making for my sister's wedding. It won't be hard, but I am just procrastinating. But, a new fun product might get my creative juices flowing.

Oh, how fun! I have so been wanting some acrylic albums and have been quite scared to use them actually. I suppose that is one project I want to do, but keep putting off because I don't quite know how to use them and am a little bit intimidated to do it. I love them and think that they are so cool, but I don't want to mess them up. It's sillly, I know, but oh well. Maybe if I win this giveaway, I will finally be pushed to just make an album!
Another project I keep putting off is doing more of my son's album. I have sooooo many pictures and i don't know how I could ever chose some to scrapbook. I love all of them! I know I can't use all of them though, or it would be like hundreds of pages long and he is only 18 months old!

I've been putting off doing a project about myself. Doing a project about myself means I'll have to to be the focus of attention and that makes me uncomfortable. I'm hoping I'll get over it and start the project soon.

I have 2 projects I've been putting off. One is my oldest daughter's school album - and she graduates this year, yikes! The other is a "summer is..." album that I want to use to focus on the highlights of our family's 2008 summer. A clear album would be cool to try with the summer project!

I've been putting it ALL off for months now. I got married three and a half weeks ago. I put off quite a few things in lieu of all the wedding craziness.

Hi Ali, My goal this year was to catch up on some of the pics from when I was a child/growing up. I find that a lot of the supplies/colors don't go - just having a mental block & have put to the side for awhile. Would love the clear books, have never used one before!

The project that I have been putting off is creating more layouts about myself. I think it's important for there to be at least a few layouts that include a picture of me in my family's scrapbook but as a single parent it's hard to get those shots.

I have been putting off scrapping zoo pictures. There are so many that I'm quite overwhelmed. I don't want an entire book of zoo pictures yet there are tons of great photos of just trips to the zoo. I still haven't decided what I'll do with all of them!

In general summer time is a very slow scrap time for me. Our house is not air conditioned and the room that I scrap in gets soooo hot that if I even sit down to do anything, I only last a short while before I feel like I'm melting. The most recent page I worked on was completed in spurts during cool periods, but then I got stuck because I didn't have the right color letters for my title and I'm trying to use my stash rather then buy more. Needless to say, the weather has cooled and I broke down and bought the letters!

I want to do a layout of the first time my son said Mommy. With his speech delay it wasn't until he was 4. I remember this moment so perfectly in my mind I think I am afraid of not doing it justice.

I have been putting off finishing my youngest son's high school album. Ummm, he graduated in 2004. He will finish college next year and I haven't even started that album yet. I have come to realize that I have a very difficult time admitting that he is a grown boy. Even though I'm so happy for him and very proud of him, I still miss tremendously that little fellow clinging to me and needing me.

Love these albums! I've been putting off finishing an album from our trip to Europe last summer...started it with lots of enthusiasm, then it got to be not-so-fun and I've put it aside for other projects. If I win I'll put it back on the top of my "to do" list!

My first son's album...he's four and a half and I've gotten the first three months of his life scrapbooked! I'm just a wee bit behind! LOL! Why? A complete lack of time! Now that we have two children it's hard to find the time to sit down and get to work, especially with other design team commitments. But I'm committed to finishing it, no matter how long it takes! :-) Thanks to blogs like yours, I have been finishing mini albums of special events and have been using them as little bits of decorations on tables throughout the house - love them!
