Clear Scraps Giveaway

Clearscraps

Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:

6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)

Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)

Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:

Easter1

Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?

Easter2

For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).

Easter3

Easter4

[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]

I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

When I started to scrap my (now adult) children's childhood pictures I realized that there were no pictures of my third son by himself. I'll have to do some creative cropping to be able to feature him on his own pages!

I've been putting off an album about our move from Oregon to Michigan. I'm pretty sure it is out of denial....if I make it then it will become real and I'm not sure I'm emotionally ready to accept that....

I've been setting aside a vintage picture album with old photos of my family. It is easier for me to work on current phtos and stories while they are fresh in my mind.
Would love to use this acrylic album to house photos of my feet and where they've been this year. I've taken a series like this. It is fun to see my feet and where they've been whether at the beach, at a wedding, or on my yoga mat.

I would have to say it's my christmas album. Not sure why, life I guess gets in the way but I MUST find the time. You give me much inspiration to get my butt in gear:)

My wedding pictures...I got married very sponaneously (we had our marriage license and a friend who is ordained came to visit...the rest is history!) so I only have about 10 pictures of the event. I want to do a mini-album of the event but I can't seem to find the right stuff. Maybe these clear ones will inspire me!!

I've been putting off my "Waiting for John" page about my pregnancy with my now 18 month old. It will only be one page, so it has to be perfect. That is making me procrastinate! I do have his birth story, other pages, and first birthday pages done, though.

Ali - I have been putting off so many projects, because I have too many projects and I just don't know where to begin. It could be my 3 boys' albums, or redoing my wedding photos (25 years in Oct) that are in one of those magnetic albums, or it could be our trip to Europe this summer with the 6000+ pics we took over 3 weeks. Just all so overwhelming. Thanks for offering us these great products and ideas.

These albums are great!! The project I have put off is the "Week in your Life" album that I wanted to do for my son. I followed him around and took pics of his daily "doings". I have the pictures, but I just haven't put it together. These would be perfect for it!!! LOL!!

I've been putting off our amazing trip on the cross Canada train a few years ago for hubby's 40th. This album came right in the middle of my transition from working right on the page to working on pages to slide into pockets. So I am working right on the page and it is freaking me out (even though it never had before I started using pockets.)

I have been procrastinating on an album of our summer vacations at Lake George in NY. So many wonderful memories, worried it is too much to put in one place. I'm a bit worried my memories will actually ruin the kids versions of those same memories. Different view points! But the idea of a few smaller albums might be the answer and make it all manageable. You may have just solved this one for me. Thanks for the boost!

What haven't I been putting off? That would be the easier question to answer. The things that haunt me the most are my kids first year albums (I have 4 to do), but hey my youngest is only 6, maybe by the time their all married.... who knows. I also want to get those crazy school albums caught up. I always say, "I'll do it over the summer", but, no luck. My problem is that I'm so caught up in capturing "now", that I don't get to yesterday. Thanks for helping me to notice what we are thining/ feeling today. You know if they get those hospital IDs in a box, but know who they were in the end, that's okay.

I've been putting off my pregnancy journal/album. My son is now 15 months old!!!! I have all the bits and pieces for it, I just have to sit down and do it. I had every intention of doing throughout the pregnancy but the little one sucked all creativity from me!! And now there are just too many other photos to scrap

I have been putting off doing a book about ME. Of course my son is always top priority and I have done my husband a mini book so now it's my turn. One of these clear scraps albums would work out great!

I've been putting off creating baby albums for my twins - they are 8 on Monday. The events surrounding their birth, the abuse from the doctor (before, during, after), and depression are just things that I couldn't wrap my head around talking about. It has been 8 years and I didn't spend all the beginning of September crying over the vivid memories.
Needless to say, this is something I NEED to do but something I've been unable to face. The twins are adorable and I thank God daily for them and a wonderful Husband and Father who has supported and taken care of us all these years.
Sorry for the depressing topic but you asked what we've been putting off and this is something I think of every time I go into the craft room. Maybe this is my year to get it done and put it behind me.
Thank you for the opportunity to win such a wonderful set of albums!

Been putting off doing the "everyday" pages, thinking that I'll remember them and come back to them. I'm finding that the longer I put them off, the more I forget. I love doing mini-albums for projects like that and these clear albums are just too adorable!

I have been putting off scrapping about me. I have a few pages done from recent events/feelings, but I have found it's much easier to write how I feel about someone else verses me personally. It is challenging, but I am making some headway. I just finished reading Life Artist, and it really inspired me to scrap ordinary events in my life, so thank you!!

Right now I'm putting off scrapping my vacation photos. It just seems so overwhelming. This was our first big vacation so naturally I took lots of pics and had trouble narrowing it down.
