Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We celebrate fall by being outside enjoying the wonderful weather. We go to the Pumpkin patch in October. We just love being outside. Fall is my favorite time of the year.

I live in the South, and we had a blazing hot summer -- so it is just now getting cool enough to spend lots of time outside. My 2-year-old and I do lots of sidewalk chalk and bubbles. I am celebrating Fall by opening the windows and enjoying the crossbreezes through the house. No more air conditioning!

Fall is all about everything pumpkin!! We celebrate fall's arrival by kicking it off with a stop into Einstein Bros. Bagels for their pumpkin shmear and pumpkin bagels, so YUMMY!! It's been a little tradition for us for the last couple of years that says fall is here!

I love Fall. It's easily my favorite season. I also know that the chilly winter is coming soon so I try to get my husband and kids out to enjoy the good weather. We go apple and pumpkin picking, go for a hay ride, hiking, hit the beach one last time, bake apple goodies, Spooky Fun Fair at school and, of course, soccer, soccer, soccer.

Fall our favorite season, we decorate with pumpkins and the fall wreath. This year we are going to carve pumpkins (the kiddos are just old enough to really get into it) We have apple cider in the fridge the entire season, and head to the orchard for some family fun!!! Play in leaves, and talk about all the beautiful colors God has provided us, and hunt for wooly worms.

    Hi Ali,
Since moving to southern Florida 5 years ago I have found that I miss fall the most...cider mills and changing leaves. To get into the spirit for the coming holidays I hang a fall wreath, burn pumpkin scented candles, and fill the house with fall decor.
Nothing gets me in the mood more than carving a pumpkin.

Fall is my favorite season. My husband celebrates it with a few weekends of fishing in Northern MI with his best buddies. I celebrate it by relishing every minute of the beautiful transition in weather and surroundings between summer and winter. And we celebrate fall and our anniversary together sometime in mid-Oct with a weekend at a B&B up north.

I've been having a pretty cruddy October. Economic crisis. Plumbing problem. And yesterday, a squirrel in the tenant's flue. So I could use any one (or all) of these giveaways as small compensation. Oh, well. . . probably won't happen.

Living in the Midwest, I'm going to enjoy all the fall activities that my kiddies so love (actually jumping into the leaf pile, making and eating -- forgetting the diet -
    taffy apples & pumpkin muffins)!

This year we tried to start a new tradition by visiting Cunningham Falls, a nearby park complete with steep hiking trails, climbable waterfalls and colorful changing leaves. The kids loved feeling accomplished in the climb and I love the photo-ops! Plus, I shot a photo of my neighbor's house to give as a gift. I realized that each Fall that tree fills me with joy for the season as I watch it change colors from my home office window. I figured this might be a sight that is best captured from across the street, a vantage point they don't have.

My husband and I always plan a Sunday drive to view a certain areas fall color. This years drive was last Sunday. We drove the Mountain Loop Highway here in WA from Darrington to Granite Falls...simply beautiful!! Our children are in college so our fall activities have changed, no more pumpkin patches, costume hunting, or high school football. But we still watch "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and eat popcorn and hot cider.

We love to go picking apples and then later in fall celebrating Thanksgiving at my Grandmothers farm. It is such a beautiful setting - when I think of fall - that is what comes to mind!

Too many to list, it's our favorite time of year. Tomorrow we are heading to the farmer's market to get apples to make and can applesauce :) The farmer's market is a favorite place during fall!

Being down here in Texas, fall could not come early enough. However, we love Halloween and that marks the start of the season for us. Every few years we do a huge murder mystery party, but every year includes all-out spooky decor. After Halloween it starts to feel like fall. The spooky stuff gets packed away and the thanksgiving decor comes out. My favorite part is opening up the box I store my candles in and am overwhelmed by the scent of carmel, pumpkin, and spice (Pier One). Even my husband comments on how great it smells.

I love Fall. It's so nice to be able walk the dog without it being close or over 100 degrees! Plus, we are gearing up for Halloween - so much fun! Which we get the day off because it is Nevada Day! And it is chili and stew season - mmmm!

    Bonjour!
To celebrate fall: take long walk and try to make as much noise as possible when walking in leaves... Then when it is rainy, stay cosy and warm inside while cooking "Christmas" cookies (recipe from my grandma's mum). I know it is supposed to be only for Christmas, but they are just perfect with a cup of tea whenever the temperature starts to go down!
And I will soon have a new way to celebrate fall: I should give birth to my first baby in the coming days.

We celebrate fall by covering the globe on our antique light post with a huge Jack-O-Lantern. It has become a landmark in our small town that fall has officially arrived!

Today I am celebrating fall by admiring the first tree in the neighborhood whose leaves have changed colors. It sits right outside the window of my office, and give me a place to rest my eyes, my mind, and my spirit from the chaos of the day.

Fall is such a feast for the senses! I'm celebrating by taking in football, pumpkin and apple flavors, and soaking up the gorgeous colors and fall air. I'm also trying to scrap fall pictures from past and present while I feel the inspiration of the season!
