Three Things : Three Giveaways

Giveaways

A fun Tuesday giveaway:

1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.

2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).

3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).

To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Homecoming, the pumpkin patch, picking apples, playing in the leaves, bonfires in the backyard, hayrides, walks along the river, canoeing, camping, trips to Grandma's house and then it all ends with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (on tv, of course!)

How we celebrate fall... Well, my Father-in-law is a photographer and he can't help himself when the leaves start turning, so we all pack up and go up the nearest canyon for a hike! He gets out his camera and the kids go play in the fall leaves while thier Grandpa photographs every leaf in the canyon ;). Sometimes he gets the most surprising photos of the kids because they think he is photographing the leaves, not them!

I LOVE fall...it is my FAVORITE season! We celebrate by taking long walks enjoying the cooler weather, the beautiful scenery and returning home to drink hot cocoa with marshmellows. I love going to high school footballs games and watching college football and volleyball (Huskers)--GO BIG RED!! We generally try to find a pumpkin patch to visit within a 200 mile radius so we can pick pumpkins to carve, get lost in a corn maze and take photos!! Miss Niki

My birthday is the day before Halloween, my daddy's birthday! So, fall has always been a special time surrounded by family and pumpkins! I love to go to the pumpkin patch with my kids, and then watch as they carve them. I'm the designated "Pattern finder". It's always a great day of fun!

Apple cider is definitely my favorite. My second favorite would have to be knitting scarves. I just love knitting when the weather gets cooler and I can get excited about wearing scarves again! :-) Thanks for the giveaway Ali!

When fall kicks in, I start to cook more involved meals, bake more, and feather my nest with soft, warm colors. And since having kiddies we go as a family to the pumpkin patch go on a hayride, feed the animals, and pick our own pumpkins.

We celebrate fall by going to the local pumpkin patch. The kids have a blast going thru the corn maze, straw maze, seeing all the animals, and of course taking the hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out the biggist pumpkin they can carry. I get to have fun taking all those wonderful outdoor fall pictures. When we get home dad and the kids carve the pumpkins while mom roasts the seeds. Yummy. I love fall!!

    Hey Ali -
My husband and I recently visited his old college campus. We walked around campus, enjoyed the changing leaves and went to a football game. It was a great way to enjoy a fall day.

I always take my kids to the park and look for signs of fall, mushrooms, leaves, etc. We love to jump in the leaves and throw them in the air. And I never leave home without my camera.

We have a lot of fall celebrations: four birthdays, our wedding anniversary, and many other events. We went to a chili cookoff in our neighborhood the other night that was so much fun. We had a pinata for the kids and they loved it!

Fall is all about getting outside to enjoy the change in the weather. Corn mazes, walks in the park, and pumpkin-picking! It's also a time to gather with family for more meals. With summer over, it seems like a few more things are off the to-do list. . .and I spend more time with the family--just being together.

The fall for us is a busy season. We are a hockey family and we travel all over New York State, Vermont and Canada to play. We travel past so many pumpkin patches and apple orchards we find it fun to stop and try their donuts and other goodies to break up the rides.
Go ST. Lawrence Thunder Pee WEES!!!!
