Wednesday Sponsor Giveaways: Get It Scrapped, Lettergirl, and Scarlet Lime

AJ102Promo

One person will receive an online class spot in Art Journaling 101 and another person will get a spot in Art Journaling 102 with Dina at Get It Scrapped.

Are there are times when photos and journaling on a traditional scrapbook page don’t convey all you’d like? Scrapbooker, mixed-media collage artist, and visual journaler Dina Wakley uses a line-upon-line approach in her online classes at Get It Scrapped! to teach even those who think they’re not artistic the craft of making Art Journal pages. Classes include downloadable pdf and video lessons.

In Art Journaling 102 Dina teaches you how to “amp” up your images, layers, and textures. Art Journaling 101 covers the basics of art and journaling techniques and includes a bonus Spray Ink tutorial.

I am only 6 weeks away from baby #3 arriving. The thought of holding her in my arms finally (a girl after 2 boys!) makes me happy right now!

I'm still glowing from the happiness of being able to gather my congregation for a birthday bash this past weekend for a group of mentally handicapped citizens. It makes me feel good to provide this ministry to those who don't family to celebrate with.

I'm happy right now to be home & done with a month-long training that kept me away from my family. It's so nice to settle back into a routine!

One of the things that makes me happy is finding out which foods are low calorie and which I enjoy - surprisingly, there are more that have these two qualities than I originally thought!

I'm very happy about my brainstorm to let my 13-year-old start a blog. He is just dripping with enthusiasm about it, spending as much time as he can squeeze in pouring out his thoughts and revamping his site. He's even learning Photoshop mostly on his own in his process of trying to design his own daily cartoon for the site. It's a great alternative to the online computer game he used to be obsessed with, and I have plans to "slurp" his blog every few months and create a book for him. Instant scrapbook! And stuff we have in common, which isn't always easy with a teenage boy and his mom.

I am happy when I attend my DS Varsity BB games. He is a senior this year, started his first BB game on Feb 14th and made his first 3 point shot that same night. I was so very proud of him as all of his teammates stood up and cheered him on. Plus tha parents in the stands told DH and myself what a great job he is doing. That would make anyone proud to be a parent :)

My family makes me happy...my parents are healthy and a pleasure to be around, my kids enjoy life and (at 13 and 16) still enjoy doing "stuff" with me and are not embarrased to hold my hand in public, my husband is a sweeatheart, and our dog is always out of control excited to see me whether I've been gone 5 days, 5 hours or just 5 minutes. It truly is the little things in life that matter most!
Love the Scarlet Lime kit...I just spent 30 minutes exploring their website...and that made me happy too!

Look at you! Getting right back into the swing of things! Some things that are making me happy right now are watching our nursery come together, anticipating spring, enjoying the last few months of being just a couple, an old friend is moving to within a couple of hours, being thankful for a good job, my health, and a new pair of jeans that actually look good on my ever-growing body. Thanks Ali!
