We travel every year to Alabama to a 4th of July family reunion. We love seeing all our cousins and watching the kids play together.

One of my favorite summer traditions is spending a week with my parents, sister, brother and sister in law (who live in Italy) in our old summer house in the country.

My favorite summer tradition is going out on the first warm day around 21st July for a "forest-BBQ".

We go to our local fair. We enter flowers in the flower show and the kids ride rides. I get to see most of my old classmates. (it's kind of like a class reunion! Small town.)
    Thanks for the giveaways!

So many more than I realized, but I think starting off the summer with our town's 4th of July parade, that comes right down our street, has to be near the top of the list!

Every year for the 4th of July, my family gathers at my sister's home for a day of swimming, bbq, some unique themed craft and watching the fireworks. It's great and we all look forward to that day. Over the last 5 years, we've added the tradition of each person creating a scrapbook page from photos we take and print that day. It's a great book by nightfall.

I love going to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum with the family. Letting the boys out to run among the trees fills my soul. Plus it usually makes them sleep on the way home!

My mothers birthday on the 17th of july is a lovely family tradition she's turning 78 this year, but she still manages to make it a real nice party. whenever we tell her we want to help, she tells us that is only needed when she not capable to do it herself!
