My favorite summer tradition is switching out spring clothes to summer. The temp heats up past 100 degrees where I live and it is nice to have only the coolest options available!

Right now since I seem to always be pregnant during the summers it is hard to pinpoint a favorite summer tradition. We do like to make fresh fruit berry smoothies.

Brithdays are not exactly a summer tradition, but a celebration that goes on year after year. Out of a family 11, 9 of us have birthdays during a 3 month season! Whew, I always feel bad for the last one because by then we are all celebrated out!

My favorite summer tradition is our Wilcox family reunion. We have always had it on the 4th of july in our small home town of Vale OR where my family has lived for 72 years. I can remember as far back as our 50th family reunion when there was a carnival in town and we rode the carousel...of course that is all I remember but you get the point. I look forward to it every year.

Favorite summer tradition: Eating watermelon outside with just your hands. You get horribly sticky and drippy but there is no better way to enjoy watermelon when it's hot.

Our favorite summer tradition is going to minor league baseball games and eating our favorite junk foods there! The kids get to see great baseball, soon to be major league players and it's great family fun! (and a lot less expensive than the majors!)

As a child we would always spend 2 weeks during the summer at my Grandparents house. We would pack up tons of stuff (they lived out in the middle of nowhere) to the point where you couldn't even see us in the backseat of the car. By the end of those 2 weeks, we wouldn't have touched even half of that stuff because we had more fun exploring the outdoors. Those 2 weeks every year were some of the best memories that I have from my childhood.

One of my favorite summer traditions is having ice cream sodas on the 4th of July. My mom has been doing it since she was a child, continued the tradition with her family and now I continue it with mine. OOOH, I feel a layout coming on! =)

For many years, we've loved camping with friends during the summer. Now we camp with our friends and all our kids. It's so great to see our children becoming friends and sharing this wonderful activity.

I love sitting around a good campfire, making smores, pole pies, and lots of other fire food. It reminds me of when I was a kid, camping with my family and friends. I can't wait to share that with my own children and make memories.
