One of my favorite summer traditions that we do as a family is that we go camping every summer! We all love to do it and we have a great relaxing family weekend. This year we are taking my FIL and one of his friends with us. And part of the greatness of it is that we go different places every year. LOVE it!

Camping at Lake Isabella, CA. Our lives and our families lives are ever changing, one thing remains, we all try to make it once a year to the lake and river to have fun and catch up. Family time is always the best.

My favorite summer tradition is going out late with my kiddos to see the fireworks on the 4th. I love stocking up on sparklers, packing yummy snacks, spreading out the blanket and enjoying eachothers company while we wait for the fireworks to start.

Campin' in the backyard! So fun for the kids to pitch the tent in the backyard, roast marshmallows over the stovetop, and tell spooky stories with flashlights, all from the convenience of home. :)

Our favorite summer tradition is spending time at Presque Isle Peninsula in Erie, PA. Also, camping out in the backyard, going to the local pool & hanging out at Waldameer Park & Water World. Here in PA we have to cram our summers into three months!

my parents are missionaries in Cambodia. They come back for a visit each summer, so my sister's family and my family and my parents all get together. Then I always prepare a little scrapbook project the three of us (mom, sister, and I) can do together. It's usually a mini album. We really enjoy our time together.

My favorite part of summer is shopping for fresh local veggies at the market, and growing our own in the back yard.

Some of our favorite summer traditions are centered around summer foods. We love eating fresh, local corn on the cob, ice cold watermelon, steamed summer squash, GA or SC peaches picked right from the tree, + grilling out whenever we can. :)

At home baseball -- hot dogs on the bbq, playing with bats and balls, the game on the radio (the computer, actually), lounging or gardening in the backyard. The best tradition of summer, just in the comfort of our home!

our favorite summer thing is to go to the county fairs and see what we can see.
I'm lucky enough that our county fair has a scrapbook section, so I usually have pages in the fair.

I have always loved the casual spur-of-the-moment that summer or summer holidays seems to invoke, possibly because it's warm(hot) and you just want to take it easy.
