My favorite December tradition is a family outing to see "Honolulu City Lights", a festive holiday display sponsored by the City and County of Honolulu. As my daughters have turned into young adults, that has meant they're all "home" for the holidays. Great time to count our blessings, appreciate one another, and whip our cameras and smiles for some zany pictures!

We're only beginning to make some new traditions but I look forward to watching Christmas movies while I write out the Christmas cards and wrap the gifts. It gets me so excited!

A rather new tradition we have begun is visiting my aunt , uncle, cousin, and grandmother during the month of December. It is a nice little vacation mixed with work (on my husband's part). We celebrate Christmas with them and the go back home where we celebrate CHristmas yet again.

We go the day after Thanksgiving and get our fresh noble fir Christmas tree, bring it home, wrestle with it, turn on the Chipmunks Christmas album, put lights on that sucker, then finish it all off with symbolic ornaments. How's that for a run-on sentence?

My favorite Christmas tradition is going to cut down our Christmas Tree. We take the kids and go with my in-laws, sister-in law and her husband and my brother in law.

As we are a young family, only being married 2 years with a daughter that is 19 months, we are just now creating our own family traditions. Yesterday, we went and cut down our own Christmas tree and plan on doing that every year after.

We watch 'It's a Wonderful Life' every Christmas Eve. It's such a feel good movie and even as the kids get older, they still enjoy watching it so I hope we can keep this tradition going for a very long time.

My favorite is decorating the Christmas tree with my kids. It is fun to hear them finding their favorite ornaments and remembering fun memories from the year before.

My favorite tradition is my husband and myself sneaking off to get my boys presents. Its like a mini date where we get to be excited about gifts we are buying together.

One of my favorite December traditions is - well simply putting up the christmas tree. Having the tree up just makes me feel cozy and warm and it's such a treat getting out all my favorite ornaments each year!

I love putting our lights up on our house and then walking home from our local christmas pageant to see them lit up for the first time - it's great to see the joy in the kids' faces! Jxx

A favorite tradition is the Star City Christmas Parade although I can no longer make my kids (now 22, 16 and 13) don reindeer head bands or santa hats. Traditions I now miss is the visit to Santa and total belief that thier greatest wish will be granted and the quest to do just that.

Hands down, Christmas Eve candle light service at church. Nothing warms the heart more than singing Silent Night with just the candles lit, no music, just pews filled with singing voices declaring, "Christ the Savior is born".

We love to spend Christmas day in our jammies --- just hanging out. The kids play with their toys, we play a continuous stream of Christmas music or movies in the background, and we have an easy day of simple meals.

It is so hard to choose just 1 tradition, however I really enjoy the xmas cookie decorating night, when all of the kids get together at our house and we decorate cookies-usually dec 23. The sneaky santa is pretty fun too-lots of laughs.
